I was listening and it sounds to me like a politician issueing a statement about inflation and taxes, concerning the Consumer Price Index (this measures inflation), as those were about the only few words that I could make out. Try it and see what you think, but be shore to play around with the equilisers to get maximum sound quality for a voice. Well Back to some soundgarden stuff. Anyone ever notice how in that rockview interview CD jason Everman alwyas says cooky stuff? He starts off the CD by going Ahhh FUCK, Then SCREAMS REALLY LOUD, then yells COME ON TAKE ME TO DA MOOOOVIES!!! Hes kinda funny, but he calmed down. Oh yeah he was bangin on Matts drum set all through the end of the interview. Whats up with avemaria? I mean don't EVEN begin to tell me hes gonna take the Sting/Don henley road and get all wimpy on us. I sure as hell hope not. Bye. P.S.: This is a little off the subject buthere goes.... I have a big crush onthis one girl name rachel peterson, i mean we're friends but i still have a crush on her big time. she was going out with this one guy named Nick frank. They broke up I think 2 days ago and i'm wondering if should make my move now. I mean are a good match we both like soundgarden because she came over one time. We even messed around a little bit that night this summer. Any body have any advice( please seth don't rip on me)? Does anyone think that that Puff daddy song could relate to Chris and ANdrew Wood? You can probably find our answers in the digests. Ohh yeah, its the receprion from an AM radio and BTW I CAN DO THAT! I figured it out a few weeks ago but figured that no one cared but I'll tell you now because I'm writing about boot camp. All you guitar players, turn you amp on and plug the cable into the amp. Now don't plug into your guitar. put the white circular plastic part near the head of the jack up against the threshold of the guitar jack. You should get some kinda frequency. I think I actually got somebody's cellular phone but I couldn't understand it 'cause its really quite. If you want to be creative you can use a chorus pedal on your way to the guitar to control the frequency. I haven't gotten that trick to work yet but I think its possible. EVERYONE knows she had a new boyfriend.. what about Chris and Susan? how have they been? we just don't know.. so if anything bad happened to them it'd take us quite some time to find out.. if we found out at all.. but then again, Di went thru hell with the media following her every move and perhaps the guys are being smarter.. and are happier.. without their every move being captured.. hmmm i'm just thankful it's not one of the guys.. even though i'm sad to see Di go.. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Aug 1997 19:10:07 -0500 From: NIKI FREER Subject: Re: how would i know.. koggle wrote: >the point i'm trying to make is that we really have >not got a good contact with the guys.. *sigh* i >dunno.. like, princess di.. Personally, i am damned glad that kind of attention isn't on Soundgarden and it's members and their personal lives. i would hate to see something like the Diana case happen to them because we all want to know how Susan and Chris have been lately. Like, for instance, the girl who called Rockline 96 strictly to ask CC if he and susan were planning on having children... jesus! that's none of her business, and it's none of ours. should it happen, of course we'll end up knowning, but it's not something to be asked of him or her to let us know ahead of time. and i think it's extremely rude and beyond the limits of good taste to ask him that question, or any other member of the band... or even any other human being you don't know personally. it's none of your business. if they want you to know, they'll tell you... The diana case is really a terrible thing. and to relate how media can totally fuck up a human being to the music world, think of Kurt and Courtney. the media really went haywire on their lives and that beautiful little girl they had, and just totally destroyed who they were. it's just insane what the media thinks it has the right to know. and us as a public as well. Yes, of course i'd like to know what the boys do with their spare time and what not, but it's none of my business, so i can't know and would never take measures to know these things. it's just a total invasion of privacy... i empathize immensly with the humans in the limelight that get disected like Kurt and Courtney, Diana, and Eddie Vedder... it's not right, it's not just, and it's not humane. I don't think the media will ever have it's hayday with the members of soundgarden, they have been long past their BHS fame and never had fame like that again, and i'm glad they never did. the boys wouldn't appreciate it, we all know how private each and every one of them is.. . I think what i'm trying to say is I'd really rather the media go to hell than to cause another tragedy like the one cause yesterday. But, if anything bad ever happened (praying that it never does) to any of them, be sure that we'd know. but i'd rather find out slowly than to have a media frenzy banging down Kim or Matt's door every hour to take a picture and ask how he's feeling. mind riot ____ there must be something else there must be something good far away...far away from here... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SOUNDGARDEN 1984-1997 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Aug 1997 18:01:48 -0700 From: Bonnie Subject: Re: how would i know.. > the point i'm trying to make is that we really have not got a good > contact with the guys I tend to disagree on this one... .. *sigh* i dunno.. like, princess di.. Of course, this part is true...our contact and how we get the information is entirely different than that kind of sick, intrusive bullshit. > so if anything bad happened to them it'd > take us quite some time to find out.. if we found out at all.. Here's the difference. Without it being a total media blitz, the method we would get news of this nature, would most likely be word of mouth. One person knows or however it is that they hear of it, they tell some one and so on. I feel it would travel fairly fast, on line and off. By no means would it be plastered on the news worldwide. Depending on the nature and severity, it would be on the news or in the papers locally in the Seattle area. But yeah, I think word of mouth would be working. If one of the guys is out and about, you hear about it. People know people and that's the beginning of the information trail. How have we gotten much of what we know and hear up to this point?? Which, by the way, I saw Matt and Ben last night at the Crocodile Cafe. I screwed up and came in on Wellwater's last song, but it was killer! Ahhhh....to see Matt pounding the drums again with that intent look on his face...(not to mention a nice glean of sweat covering his body:))) but it was fucking great to see him play again and from just a few feet away. Ben looks great, and sounded great as well. I did have to get used to the new buzz cut he's sporting these days, though. And he seems happy and at ease. I just love those guys!!!! Hopefully others in attendance who saw the entire set will share their reviews of the show. Matt, Ben and John McBain hung out afterwards. Matt spent a lot of time in the back bar talking and then came up by the front door. He was there until closing. Ben hung out too, and left shortly before closing. I wanted to say Hi to both and have something else to say without being or sounding stupid...which I didn't accomplish. Matt did come to our table right before he left and talked a bit and sat for a pic with Eileen. Brian Wood from Devilhead was there as well. I didn't notice anyone else of note (unless you've watched a Seattle TV show called Northwest Afternoon, then you might have heard of Elisa Jaffe...she was there rocking out! :)) Oh yeah...Mudhoney played too. I'm not familiar with their music, but apparently they played all new stuff, which I'm told is slower than what fans might be used to. Since I don't know I can't really critique or comment on it. I am bummed I missed essentially all of their set but was told they'll play again (yay!). I also picked up their CD for $10 and like it a lot. AND I'm making *damn* sure I get to Bumbershoot in plenty of time to catch all of Hater tomorrow!! I was at the Newsgroup and found this for anyone of you to answer.. you can e-mail this person.. Here goes: have a question that is not answered on SG sites or Flots sites. On Flotsam and Jetsam's album "Quatro", the song "The Message" is credited as being written by Christopher Cornell and the rest of the Flots. (I am sure it's SGs Chris, because it has his publishing name of You Make Me Sick I Make Music. What is the relation between Chris and Flotsam and Jetsam?
