Of course Hater's Who Do I Kill? gets me plotting insidious things with a big evil grin on my face. Everytime he sings 'the list gets longer every day' a list pops up in my head. and it is "thigh-il." I have it from the man himself in more than one interview. Companies remaster stuff all the time, The band themselves have often said they didn't much like the way it turned out either. And according to Jack Endino, they did consider it - they even got the tapes back. But ultimately decided it wasn't worth it. Partly because they were in the middle of a dispute with SST. "They just wanted to move on and let it lie...The long and the short of it is, it never happened and now nobody really cares." Of course a lot of us would no doubt buy it, but I think it even less likely to happen now. Soundgarden have always pretty much had the attitide that each album represented where they were at at the time and it turned out how it turned out. And now that they are no longer together, they might consider it a little pompous or self important to start rereleasing or remastering their records - at least just yet ;-) UKDeb ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Jul 1997 06:31:42 -0700 From: Fetal Bliss Subject: Re: Aggressive SG songs Motorcycle Loop and Kyle Petty. Drawing Flies, definately. And Face Pollution, Gun and Ty Cobb make me want to DO something, so I usually get up and walk around while I'm listening to them. This afternoon while I was listening to Ultramega and reading through the liner notes, I noticed that in the Thanks To column they thanked a group called Malfunskhun. Interesting typo. Also, according to the back of my Motorvison video, Little Joe was written by Coleman/Hill/Lytle. Naturally I checked Seth's site and it said Music: Thayil, Lyrics: Cornell. So who the hell are Coleman, Hill and Lytle? Well, I know alot of us Sommsters out there have SG pages on the net, and I was thinking what if we were to compile the list of URLs and then make our own Soundgarden Web Ring? It'd be a good way to get all our pages more hits and also make it easier for people looking for SG resources to find stuff. Any comments? Larry ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Jul 1997 16:57:09 -0700 From: Fetal Bliss Subject: Re: SG Web Ring? Only problem with an SG ring is that we'd have to have Seth's site repeated for at least 50% of the list (to make up for content). ^_^ But hey, why not? Would the official page be included? Oh, I sure hope so! ^_^ Or, on a more serious note, what about side-project sites, like Hater, TOTD, and WWC, or sites with other bands besides SG? I dunno, why do I get this much into it? I don't have one myself. :( But of course, that's MY fault! ^_^ Eating vegetables is a CHOICE; eating meat is an INSTINCT! Also, try driving down a deserted highway around 2 in the AM, with forest on either side of you, all you can see is the road, blasting Searching w/ my good eye closed.... or try that same song while driving through the Mts. at sunrise.....
