I doubt i'll ever forget that. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Jul 1997 04:32:48 -0500 From: tonerkin Subject: Re: Strangest thing >At 04:59 PM 7/22/97 -0400, you wrote: >i don't think this has ever been up for conversation...but...What is the >strangest thing any of you have seen at a Soundgarden concert? I think the strangest thing I saw was at the Atlanta concert last summer. Seeing Soundgarden on stage but also seeing tourists beneath them behind the glass wall of a shopping mall buying overpriced Olympic souvenirs!! The stage was actually over the place called Underground Atlanta. Most bizarre concert venue I have ever seen in all my born days!(no cracks about how many day that is either!!!) Also saw the moon rise BUTT thank the Soundgarden gods Tad wasn't opening for them this particular show. toni ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Jul 1997 09:04:45 -0400 From: Elric&Dagny Subject: Chris' Ethnicity? Hi guys! There seems to be a slight interest as to what Chris' ethnic heritage is. I would say that with family names of Cornell and Boyle that he's probably descended from Irish stock. BUT, the impression that I've gotten from interviews on this subject is he really doesn't like Europe, and he wouldn't want to live anywhere else besides the NW. I would think that if you asked him what his heritage is (and you could get a straight, honest answer ;) he would say that he's AMERICAN. Life Rules! This is not a slam and i don't want to start a debate, but there is a = difference between ethnic heritage and nationality. Which still doesn't explain what his ethnic background is..... :)anna __________________________________________________________________________= _____ Hi guys! hink that if you asked him what his heritage is (and you could get a straight, honest answer ;) he would say that he's AMERICAN. Carol ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Jul 1997 13:10:42 -0500 From: Opus Subject: Soundgarden on Lame TV Last Night my brother was watching a show on TV called "naked truth" or something(thats what it said it was in TV guide, I checked) and I saw a couple small parts of it. They mentioned SG twice! One guy was looking to impress women or something and his pal got out profiles on three people for him to look at or something(I wasn't really watching the show, but I heard Soundgarden and tried to get the rest of the story). The first was "the lead singer from Soundgarden", the second "the bassist from Soundgarden" and the third was someone else(not SG). Then Later George Went(I don't know if that's how you spell it, but he's the guy from Cheers) asks the girl how he looks and he then says that he's trying to look like the guy from Soundgarden. If anyone else was watchig this show let me know if they talked about SG any other times. ALSO(at no additional cost) An SG Obsession: You get a new CD player in your car and drive around playing 'previously unreleased' Soundgarden songs at dangerous levels with the windows down just to see if anyone walking around or driving reconizes the songs. And THAT was my first relevant post. See ya. I've got a chance at one and I don't wanna get taken to the cleaners on it. ...and, you know you're obsessed when you remember that it's Chris's b'day, but you don't remember that it's also your parents' 40th anniversary! I just was wondering about the problems people have with the CD+ alive in SU. I know whenever I put mine in it sounds like the computer is chewing it up. I scares the shit outta me whenever I try it. I'm tempted to run and buy a Jackson PS-4, but I want to know how Kim's guitar sounds when you don't have really awesome wah pedals. I was reading this month's issue of Eternal Jam and in a review by Kevin Brown he states: "[Undertow's - Alive in the Crowd] sound reminds me a little of Soundgarden." Cool, eh? I've never heard of 'em. <<1. Hearing Chris mumble lyrics to "Hey Jude" through a megaphone during the>> Someone told me that Stairway to Heaven is on the intro to Beyond the Wheel. I can't hear it.
