what am i going to do on july 20?  celebrate the birthday of mr. stone
gossard (who some of you may have heard of), born also on that date. =)

remember what we did last year?  jerm  (where IS he?) went to lolla on that
date, where he carried in a bunch of cards and greetings from us.  don't
remember if he got them backstage or not.  and i remember that he related
that ben sang his line in 'spoonman' as "happy birthday christopher".  =)
cool.

re: chris & the aids test

i would imagine that chris' insurance company requires him to take an aids
test every year.  just a thought.
and for those of you speculating in areas that are none of your business,
may i remind you of what chris had as a photo on his laminated pass for one
tour?  a picture of him and susan kissing.  but, ya know, whatever.

Just a few odds and ends here...

July 20 was a busy day....Stone Gossard, of course.  In the Cornell family,
Karne had Suzy and then on eyear later to the day, she had Chris.  Hats off
to one of my favorite moms.

RE: the AIDS test issue...I could swear I either read or was told by a
resident of Seattle that Washington state is one of those states that
requires an AIDS test for insurance.  Can anyone correct me on that?  Just
seems like its a piece of trivia floating in my head.

I had to put my cat to sleep last Friday so my Sgarden song of the weekend
was Fell on Black Days....

Often for myself it can be the annoying one or else a radio commercial
(that's probably why I only listen to commercial radio when I have no say
in the matter, which is rarely)
But I've found ways to overcome this by sitting like a fool trying to hum
the first SG song I can think of. This has worked well for me prior to
going into exams and presentations where having a annoying song can be
disastrous. But it can all be upset when someone asks "you what the hell
are you doing?" So you tell them and so they say "oh so having that 'woo
hoo' (blur) song in your head would be bad, or the 'ya ya' song (offspring)
not good either". This things don't help when your just a little stressed.

Well for that particular presentation I did get a SG song back (Fell on
black days if I recall correctly), after he did all he could for it to get
removed and this was coming from a person who was doing the presentation
with me.

Subject: spoonman pic disc

Hey gang!  I just bought a 7" Spoonman/Fresh Tendrils picture disc, UK
release.  It's in a clear plastic sleeve that says "Soundgarden
Spoonman" in white letters (with "spoon" in backwards letters).  The A
side has the blue and black pic of the hands with bent spoons.  The B
side has a red and black pic of bent spoons, tracklist, and credits.
The catalogue number is 580 538-7.  On the sleeve is a sticker that says
"strictly limited edition" and lists UK tour dates for April.  Anybody
know how limited this is, how many were produced, how rare it is, how
much it's worth?

As for how I got into SG, well, it was gradual.  I wasn't bitten right
away (probably because I was a bit older and more jaded than many of
you).  I never heard them until my husband took a temp. job at UW for 9
months in '90-'91.  I came away having only heard Flower, HIV Baby, and
Get On the Snake.  I thought they were pretty cool, but I was more into
other stuff at the time.  Then we moved to a god-forsaken corner of Ohio
where MTV was about the only source I had.  I heard Outshined maybe
once.  Then one day I was walking down the street and a car pulled up to
the light absolutely BLASTING Outshined.  I said, hey, that's that new
SG song, and that just sounded really cool!  So I bought BMF.  Kinda
funny, if you consider that I rarely ever think anything sounds cool
blasting out of somebody else's car stereo.

Contrary to popular belief kiddies - I'm NOT dead.  I've just been on hiatus.
 I'm trying to get back into the list, but it's difficult considering that we
covered most of these threads over a year ago.

Yes, I'm aware that our beloved Chris will be 33 on Sunday.  Yes, I have been
picturing him in wet boxers regularly.  And yes, Soundgarden is still my
favorite band.  Does that cover all questions I've been asked?  ;-)

I'll be starting on a new & improved SG parody site before too long.  My most
recent project is almost complete (except for the neverending updates).  If
any of you are fans of the band Darlahood, then you should definitely check

groovy, and you should be exposing yourself to new music at every

Who is the girl that talks on Touch Me?

OK, people.  My brother (who I mentioned before in my stealing SG story)
has a bunch of CD longboxes on his wall.  However, he only has one SG
box, Badmotorfinger.  I want to know what the other CD longboxes look
like, or if anyone would be interested in selling any of theirs.
Actually, I want almost any CD longbox I don't have, unless its a band I
really hate.

I've spent many hours searching the web and Usenet, and I have yet to
find people who respond resonably to my mails about vinyl.  I want to buy
vinyl people!  Well not people mad out of vinyl, you know what I mean.
Anyway, if you have any vinyl (SG or not) that you want to sell, mail me
with what cha' got.
