Ho ho ho. but, does anyone else have a funky picture of Soundgarden for the wallpaper of windows on their computer that they got of the net? i used to have the FOBD foresty picture, but now i have the SOMMS circle. and you know on the last verse of BIMH how it's not in the lyric sheet, how does it go. is it: follow me into the desert as desperate as you are the moon is full in ? and all the little pigs have god :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 09:30:11 -0400 From: Deb Servey Subject: Hey Natalie!!! I work/teach at the Univ. of Iowa College of Dentistry. I work with the Senior dental students in their last stages of school before they get their degree. Most of these people are very current in their musical tastes. I even went to go see Marilyn Manson with a couple of them. Anyways, I work hard to keep them attuned to what is good in music and always play Soundgarden in my office to keep them entertained. BK ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 10:46:55 -0500 From: Barbarba Strong Subject: record store I just spent 2 weeks in Cleveland visiting family and ran across a really cool record store. If any of you live in that area or for some reason might be visiting in the future, on the corner of Lorraine and 125th is a vintage record store called Shattered and the guy was LOADED with Soundgarden imports from Japan, Australia, England and he had SOMMS and a few copies of DOTU on clear vinyl. He'll mail out anything if you send him a cashier's check or money order (he doesn't take credit cards or personal checks). The number is (216) 941-5813. Also, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame had a wee little section dedicated to Seattle with the original contract (on notebook paper in handwriting) between SG and SubPop. It was worth the $15 just to see that and a pair of Matt's drumsticks and a picture of Chris when he was 5 (that you can see on Seth's site anyway). Yes, I admit I argued with my 6 year old kid because I wanted to name our new puppy, Kimmie(she's a beagle with the cutest big brown eyes just like him) and she had other ideas for a name. I lost when the other "real" adult in the household made me give in!!!! :-( toni ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 14:11:53 -0700 From: Laurie Casey Subject: My Soundgarden Sandwich My CD's- unlike anyone else's, so it seems!- are in the order they get set down, so the ones I listen to most are all in one stack. I have about 10 CD's that go with me everywhere - Screaming Life/Fopp, Ultramega, Louder Than Love, BMF, Superunknown, DotU, and Singles, Hype, and Siamese Dream. Other than that all the rest of my CD's are just in a stack futher away from my CD player.. Yet another useless post... I was still steaming to anyone in earshot.. =] Laurie ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 16:11:26 -0700 From: Rachel Thompson Subject: NEWS! Well everyone, I have some really interesting news. But first I'd like to say that I head this news from friends, so if anyone could confirm that would be great! I heard that last night on 120 seconds that Chris and Eddie were talking about TOTD and are seriously considering getting back together. Another thing they said is that Kim's found a band already. I also heard that in the Alternative Press magazine with Veruca Salt on the front cover that Chris's solo album is near completion! All of this sounds great! But I'm looking into getting these confirmed! Don't mean to start rumors, just checking:) Peace Love Empathy Rachel ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 17:46:24 -0500 From: Richard E Horner Subject: Hands All Over Does anyone have the battery operated 'Hands All Over Hand'. What does it do when you turn it on? I mean, does this thing really exist? I never seen it. Just curious, Rich ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 20:16:16 -0700 From: Caryn Rose Subject: pics of chris (eliza's post) just a note about those photos: they may look *great* on the web site, and the digital format covers up a multitude of sins (check out my showbox photos taken with a *disposable camera* -- on the web they look far better). i've seen the actual photos that jeremy took and they are *EXTREMELY* grainy and not all that great. he shoots with very fast film with a *very* long lens (he doesn't get photo passes) and the photos are really washed out as a result. just something to keep in mind before spending your hard-earned cash. --caryn ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 21:10:16 PDT From: Matt Busse Subject: I don't think so. >I heard that last night on 120 seconds that Chris and Eddie were talking >about TOTD and are seriously considering getting back together. Oh, I did see a history thing and part of the Temple of the Dog video. It was pretty cool. _______________________________________________________ Get Private Web-Based Email Free http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 1997 21:12:18 PDT From: Matt Busse Subject: >Well everyone, I have some really interesting news. "A history thing" ??? Do you mean archival interview footage with Eddie and Chris? Or maybe a 30 second 'this day in history' flashback. ??? What did you see on 120 Minutes last night? Why were they showing a clip of 'Hunger Strike'? -Vikki ??? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Jul 1997 01:47:10 -0400 From: Alissa Corsi Subject: Re: german imports, hater....
