You know folks, I've been noticing that the vast majority of SOMMS posts pertain to who is the biggest fan, how some of us don't want SG to become property of all those dorks out there who don't even know the band members names, etc... And while some may view these posts as pointless bantering, I think it just goes to show that Soundgarden is much more than just a band that plays music. Soundgarden is a religion! I really doubt that Bush fans ever have such arguments:) I don't give a rat's ass if a bunch of people buy a SG greatest hits just because they like the video for BHS, I know what the music means to me and to those who share my point of view understand. Anyone else can eat one of those things! I do know one thing - the Sommsters I know are a good goddamn bunch of people and as long as we are willing to share our SG thoughts/music with those who want it, we're all fans!Keep on rockin! I honestly dont think Chris would cover Jeff's music. I could be wrong, but I just don't think he would. He has never covered stuff of his friends that have died (Andy, Shannon,etc) at least that i know of - it just isnt his style i dont think. If he did, Eternal Life is really the best fit, if not the only fit (imo). Chris is a great vocalist, but there is something about JB's songs that i dont think anyone else can really pull off well (at least not yet..maybe someone will come along some day who can) - they are just too different. As for the stuff from My Sweetheart the Drunk, it may never get released, but it is brilliant stuff. My Band BLUE HONEY is going to be on the radio show "LOCAL LIVE" Sunday night at MIDNITE!!! This is on 98.1 WKQQ FM out of Lexington, KY. They will be playing some stuff off our new tape (SEE BELOW) and we will pay a few songs acousticly. Now, I realize that some of you will be able to hear this because of various reasons (like where you live) but don't worry, we are prepared to bring BLUE HONEY to all of you too!!!
