They didn't even write the song. The song is a cover of an old Ohio Players song. Actually the SG version is remarkably similar to the original. I bought the OP version just to have a comparison because I thought it was kind of funny. But unfortunaltely, SG didn't invent the phrase. CD+ and I knew that there were two Pretty Noose videos, whats the third? And whats the second Hunger Strike? The two Pretty Noose vids I saw were the one where the band is just playing in that room with those lights and the version with a whole bunch of places including a diner and (I think) a tatoo parlore and it ends with the Badmotorfinger spinny thing. The only Hunger Strike vid I've seen is the one with the fields. BTW, SOMMS was an EP released in 100 000 copies of BMF only, besides some radio-only promo's. so it's not a greatest hits, it's not a b- side compilation. it's been over and done with for quite some time... mind riot (wondering why she had to do this...) ____ oh, christi tell me what i want to hear yeah, and christi show me what i want to see... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SOUNDGARDEN 1984-1997 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Jun 1997 13:41:26 -0400 From: Mike Smith Subject: Re: Vid Versions and speaking of ALIVE IN THE SUPER.. if any of you out there have that cd+, PLEASE E-MAIL ME and let me know if its worth buying. For the person who asked what the 3rd version of pretty noose is, there were 2 versions of the Kozik Pretty Noose video: edited and unedited. The unedited version has Chris sitting on the bed with a dead girl on the bed behind him, towards the end of the video. This uncensored ending can be seen on Seth's site (http://www.sgi.net/soundgarden) So, I believe the full listing of soundgarden's videos goes something like this: Flower, Loud Love, Hands All Over, Jesus Christ Pose, Outshined(2), Rusty Cage, Spoonman, Black Hole Sun(2), My Wave, Fell on Black Days, The Day I Tried to Live, Superunknown, Pretty Noose(3), Burden In My Hand, Blow Up the Outside World, and 2 Temple of the Dog videos in there somewhere. I believe that is the correct chronological order too, except I can't remember if My Wave or FOBD came first. And I have no idea where the Hunger vids fit in. Somewhere before and after outshined... They recently ran an interview with Lars and asked him what he thought of it. So here's your transcription authorized by nobody but me: ..."It's surprising and sad, but also kind of admirable," Ulrich said of Soundgarden's demise. "I think it might be better than just fizzling out. They must have said, 'OK, let's put the beast to rest.' I think that's pretty cool. I think the best bands have a lot of different things that sort of balance out and make the band what is. There were some pretty different personalities in (Soundgarden), but I don't think that anyone actually thought they'd break up." so there it is kiddies Back to lurkerdom for me, Heather (a.k.a.
