Anyway, I had bid on both the signed CD and the Fender ( Hefty bids too!) ... but someone out bid me at the buzzer. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper. I was wondering if any of you guys had put in bids -- and if you did ... was it you who won? Don't worry I've already worked all my aggressions out :-). If I call the auction foundation can the tell me what the winning bids were, or is that illegal? A little Down in the Gutter, Julia P.S. -- Circus Magazine tribute to Soundgarden will be out AFTER June 17. By the way, I was also a little pissed that Spin decided to completely ignore the break-up issue. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 May 1997 17:59:09 -0700 From: McMahon Potvin Subject: Important QUESTION....please read....thanx I was just watching my SINGLES movie for the zillionth time and i wondered yet again : Is the mime played by Chris Cornell? They kinda look alike... i know i should probably check the credits, but i'm a little tired so i thought i'd ask you guys.... ALSO.... REMEMBER THE BAND CALLED CITIZEN DICK? Can we find a tape of it somewhere? Is it just a fictional band? i'M askin this cause i read a lot of times about Chris sayin he really enjoyed doin that tape for Cameron Crowe (July edition of Guitar World). I'd really love to hear the whole version of Touch I'M Dick!!! "Touche me i'm.....DICK!" hehehe... Laters, eh? I was wondering if anyone out there has a copy of the "No Attention" demo that's from Self Pollution Radio. I was looking around Seth's site and saw this and realized that I've never heard it. If anyone can help me, please let me know!!! Take care and be sweet!!! In fact, it's impossible to imagine it not being him. But I finally looked throught the credits and it's played by some John character. Here's a fact for you all: Did you know that Chris tried out for the part of Cliff, Matt Dillon's character? But didn't get the part because they didn't feel that he would be as near as the box office draw, Matt Dillon. Too bad. =( I don't think that you can get a tape of Citizen Dick, that I'm aware of. But if there is let me know, anyone. I know you can get Citizen Dick t-shirts like the one wore in the movie, cause I have one. About the song "Touch Me I'm Dick" I always thought that they got the title from a spin off of Mudhoney's "Touch Me I'm Sick". And that "Touch Me I'm Dick" went well for the title, because the band's name in the movie was Citizen Dick. Oh and Marc, I haven't been lucky enough to come across a Singles poster yet. Sorry. But when I do, I hope to come across a bunch, cause I'm dying for one also. I finally got up off my lasy ass and check the cast about the mime....and no, it's not played by chris.... anyway..... If anyone knows something about the citizen dick tape....please let me know.... thanx for the info Rachel......i tried to order a t-shirt of the band on the net, but the production of thoses T-shirts is DISCONTINUED......so hold on to yours, it's a rarity!!! heheh see ya.... All i found on soundgarden was the Superunknown cd and Down on the upside.... So then i asked the clerk why he didn't stock in on soundgarden singles and vinyls and he answered : well, it just doesn't sell dude...... Then he started talking about bush selling lots of records and shit.... After puking all over the counter, i left wishing i had enough $$$$ to open myself a REAL record store..... Man, this city sucks like you wouldn't believe.... That's it........I'm movin to Seattle...... And that "Touch Me I'm >Dick" went well for the title, because the band's name in the movie was >Citizen Dick. that was the whole point -- of course 'touch me, i'm dick' was a parody of 'touch me i'm sick'. not just a coincidence. and soundgarden records cost ten times more in seattle than they do anywhere else. fact. if you want cheap soundgarden stuff, move to san diego . --caryn ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 May 1997 20:18:55 -0700 From: Rachel Thompson Subject: Re: Singles etc. >>I watch the movie singles constantly and I always thought that the mime >>looked alot like Chris.
