Actually, I'm trying to invoke a like-new experience for the entire
superunknown album by not listening to it until summer. I can't say I've
been loyal to this though... Just this week I listened to Limo Wreck once
and Head Down twice. Anyways, I think it will be worth it.

If you ment 'a while ago' like on the 16th of May, it was me. This is what I

IF, this was the mail you were refering to I've got this to say. I thought
it was a well known fact, the whole thing about 665 (it's definetly not a
satanic message, just a Santa vs. Satan thing ;) ), but obviously I was
mistaking. I am NOT one of the persons who were in the magazine (maybe I
could have been though). As for the lyrics qouted from Kim, I can't seem to
find them on the song...
To the part of how I played the song backwards, it's really simple
if you have it on vinyl. I didn't, so I sampled it on my computer (CD
quality, 16bits, 44kHz). You'll need some 20MB for this. Then I revesered
the song using WaveTable (it's not that advanced at all).

In regards to who's responsible for odd time sigs:
Whoever writes the song is the man behind the weird sigs. It
seems that all of SG is into weird time signatures when they write
a song, except for Matt. (all of his songs are in 4/4, no?)
However, much admiration to Mr. Cameron for his beats that he
comes up with and his ability to maintain time. Two days ago
our bassist presented me with a line in 13/8 time. </me cursing
Dan out> Sometimes drummers just aren't appreciated!

Anyway, it's refreshing to see such inventiveness with 3 chord,
4/4 wonders like Bush and No Doubt ruling the airwaves. Here's
to many more happy 15/16 Soundgarden years!

Hey guys, they were NEVER on loveline. I remember back on the radio
show, David Spade was on it and he was talking about guests that were
on SNL and he said something like "Well, we just had a little band
from Seattle called Soundgarden on..." and then Adam Corolla went on this
tyraid(?) about how Sg keeps declining to do their show. So if they
don't want to do that radio show, I doubt they'll ever do the tv
show. ( I hope they never do the tv show though. I don't know about any
Loveline fans out there but the tv show sucks! If Sg ever did decide
to be on loveline, I'd much rather it be on the radio.)

Subject: Soundgarden On The Brain!!!

I know that someone was talking about how all they listen to is SG and that
their other cd's don't seem to pacify them for very long and that they always
went back to SG. Well, it's the same way for me.I have a wide variety of
cd's but I always tire of them quickly, but SG, well, I never do get tired of
any cd of theirs. Yea, I have my favs which switch from the Flower single to
DOTUS but I always love hearing it for the umpteenth time. But not only have
I noticed that SG is in my cd player all the time, it's all around me. On 3
occasions (that I can think of now) I've heard something that is SG related.
!st: this radio station that plays a variety of groups form R&B to Nirvana
(but they NEVER play SG and I don't have a clue why) announced that they had
a request for a SG song. Well, I was excited!!! So I waited to see what
song it was and it was BHS (I know, I know) but after the song was over the
DJ said, "Isn't that a great song from their album before their most recent
one....uhh...it's a great song." Well, I was both disgraced and not
surprised that the guy couldn't even get the names of 2 albums out of his
mouth. Oh well!!! Sorry about that but I had to vent on someone!!! 2nd: my
brother and I were playing a hockey game on his nitendo (which is a really
cool game btw) and my brother knocked someone flat on there ass and yelled,
"TAKE THAT BADMOTORFINGER!!!!!!" Well, immediatly I busted out laughing.
Don't asked me why he chose those particular words. 3rd and finally: I
caught the last 2 min. of a show, I think it was called Dr. Jekyll and Ms.
Hyde, and the song that was playing over the credits was Devo's Girl U Want.
Well, I have never heard them sing it and I thought it was cool, but I'll
pick SG's Girl U Want anyday!!! All I'm saying is that even if someone
wanted to kick their SG habit cold turkey or join some sort of Soundgarden
Anonymous group (I have NO idea why anyone would do that though) there is a
lot of things out there that would remind them, "Hey, I haven't had my SG
today and I miss it!!!" Well, sorry for the stupid, babbling post but I
thought I would share!!! Take care and be sweet!!!

Stay Cool,
Kelly :)

Yes..... And hang in there you'll get to see them one day. But at this
point Chris needs to take care of that voice of his. Its funny how I was
think about that this morning when I was listening to BMF (what an
amazing album to F*!k to)how if he keeps it up he may permanently damage
his voice, I hope not.

Also, can anyone recommend a good school or program for someone who is
interested in becoming a recording engineer. Anywhere but where I live
preferrably, I dont care if its on the other side of the country (I live
near Wash. DC, I need out.)

Yes I have seen the movie. And now that you bring it up, it does seem
uncanny how alot of things from that movie do seem similar to alot of
things that SG do. But it is a very good movie.

And if you get chance check out the picture of Chris on the cover of the

Hi everyone. I'm glad to see mind riot ask this. My friends say I'm an
alternate tunings junkie. I just *like* alternate tunings, alot! The
following information is from the book "Alternate Tunings for Guitar" by
Mark Hanson (1991, US-ISBN:0.8256.1251.9, UK-ISBN:0.7119.1658.6):

Actually, alternate tunings have been around a long time. They can be
traced back to 16th century Renaissance Europe. The guitarlike
instruments of the time were the lute and the vihuela. They were most
often tuned G C F A D G (low to high). Many classical guitarist of today
use this tuning or variations.

Bluesmen like Son House, Rober Johnson and Muddy Waters often use
alternate tunings to facilitate powerful styles.

Alternate guitar tunings are everywhere. In contempory times John
Denver(Rocky Mountain High), Doobie Brothers(Black Water), Led
Zeppelin(Bron-Y-Aur Stomp), James Taylor(Sugar Trade), Crosby, Stills
and Nash(Suite:Judy Blue Eyes), Neil Young(Cinnamon Girl), The
Beatles(Dear Prudence), Nirvana(name it), the Melvins(name it), Tad(name
it), Afghan Whigs, etc, etc.

Jazz guitarists love to use alternate tunings.

Hello Sommsters---

I was just looking at games to rent on Sony Playstation, sorry some of us
never grow up, and I came across the game Road Rash 3. The back of the box
said that the background music was provided by the *hottest* A&M bands around
such as...Soundgarden, Monster Magnet, Swervedriver and two others I cant
seem to remember. Then it said that two of these bands had full-length
videos along with the game. Total coolness, listen to the band while
bashing others off motorcycles with crowbars at 150 mph!!!!

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and know which song and/or video
is played on the game. Would have rented it but it was already taken,
