Subject: Lynne's overreaction

Lynne posted something complaining about Vince and acting superior to him
today that bothered me. (For those of you who don't care to hear me bitch,
there is actual Soundgarden content at the bottom of this post.)

Lynne, if you still subscribe to the list. I think that Vince had a very good
point in that letter he posted. (Did he even post it? I don't remember
reading it.) Even though I do agree it was a tiny bit rude, what you did by
posting your reply was just as rude and childish, if not even more, as you
think his letter was. Vince did the right thing. He had a complaint that
noone else cared about and sent it privately, a concept you obviously cannot
grasp. Especially if you are 42 (WOW! 42 whole years old! Are we supposed to
bow down to you now? Do you think that because you are so much older and so
much more superior than the rest of us geneartion Xer's that we owe you
something? Or that you have more of a right to be here than we do? I think
you owe us some respect, something which we have given you) you should know
better than to sink to anyone else's level (even though I don't think Vince
was too much out of line). There are fourteen and fifteen year olds who
don't post that kind of trash. When he asked you how long you had been on the
list, he was implying that he has been here much longer than you, and
deserves to be on here just as much, if not more, than you do. I am sure you
are a very decent person, and it is not you that I am complaining about. You
went about the situation the wrong way, and it's not fair that the rest of
us, that have had good encounters with you, should have your problems
cluttering up our mailboxes when that kind of stuff can be taken care of
privately.

AND NOW FOR SOUNDGARDEN CONTENT!
More questions. =)

Eleven, a band which seems to hang on Soundgarden like a leech (a good leech,
they're cool people) seems to constantly come up in interviews, at concerts,
on the internet, etc. Does anyone know how they met? I listened to their '91
album, "Awake In A Dream," and their music (although quite cool, like Heart's
self-titled album) didn't seem to quite...mesh with Soundgarden. Are any of
their newer releases different?

Does anyone know what Matt and Chris' middle names are? We know the initials
(Matt's is D. and Chris' is J.), but have the actual names ever been
mentioned in a magazine or book? I'm sure if they were, they would probably
be on Seth's page. Does anyone have any guesses? I do...I think Chris'
middles name might be James.
Think about it...Christopher James Cornell. Sounds good, huh? And I think
Matt's might be Daniel. Matthew Daniel Cameron. I think it sounds pretty
good. How about anyone else? Does anyone else have any other guesses?

Let me think if I have any other Soundgarden-related things to say.
Uhhhhh.....nope. That does it for now. I still miss Shroom!!!!!!!

Pardon my bitching and rambling,
Benlover

Hey everyone, I thought i would let you that the online cd service gemm
works pretty well. It's a consolidation of several companies, but gemm
lists all the stuff (cds, videos, etc) from several (or more) services. I
ordered the spoonman single from Dixon music and got it in less than a
week. The prices are not exactly competitive (With s&h I paid about
$14), but your really paying for variety and selectivity.
So I thought if someone was looking for confirmation on this service I
would give it a thumbs-up.

Hey ya,

A friend of mine is currently in LA and seeing as neither I nor him know
anywhere to go in LA to find good music shops...I would love it if someone
could point us in the right direction and send me some addresses of music
shops, looking mostly for shops with bootlegs. So where does everyone go
shopping in LA!! I need to pick up some SG boots :)

thanks for the help,

Today is the third time that I have been told by another cd import
company off the net that they did not have BIMH Part 1 or 2 in stock.
ARGH... Now the only thing to do is try with another one but I am afraid
I will get the exact same response to my plea for these 2 CDS. Sorry
mame but at the moment we are out of BIMH Part 1 and 2. For all that is
holy in the eyes of the SG worshipper does anyone know of a place that
actually still has these? I know one other place CD NOW but they want
12.49 for each not incuding S&H. Is it worth the $25 I would end up
spending if I got it from them?

But anyways if anyone does know of another please tell me. I have tried
but I have failed in my maybe too futile attempts.

Last night I was watching Wayne's World for the 1,000 time and noticed
something I have never noticed before. In the scene where Wayne and
Garth go to the Gas Works and Wayne is talking to Casandra at the bar in
the background they are playing Loud Love. I thought that was pretty
cool. Rock on Wayne, Rock on Garth.

I an going to venture on to the net and resume my hunt for SG CDS. So
bye for now.
SOUNDGARDENLICOUS?!? I've got to us that one one day.

Still loking for Loudest Love. It will be mine OH yes it will be mine...

I was baby-sitting last night till 4 o-clock in the morning so I had a
chance to thumb threw my neighbors record collection. I was able to
find alot of intersting bands including a couple that SG said they got
they listened to as teens. The Romones is one that I finally got to hear
for myself and I can see why the boys like them so much. I also checked
out the original songs of ones SG did covers for-Beatles, Jimi Hendrix,
Black Sabbath, Cheech and Chongs Earach my Eye and a couple of others. I
feel I am a little bit wiser about SG now.

Does anyone know what a monkey circus freak is? Just curious of others
interpitations of this. I don't have any of my own.

Since two people have asked, that message I sent to Lynne was sent via
private email. She is the one who drug it onto the list. Hope this
clarifies things. This will be the last time I comment on this on the
list again.

Any mood I found out.

Hey guys I'm back. I had shitty week. A very close friend, truly one of the
nicest people in the world (& NO I'm not canonizing him) died suddenly of a
massive brain anyuerism. He was only 33 & had 5 kids. Anybody want to try to
tell me that there actually is a God now?

Anyway, I was about as low as I could be. But what always brought me back up?
I'd pop in my SG. All my albums from Ultramega to DOTU and without fail it
always made me feel better. I even heard some song in a new light wich
breathed new life into them.

My point: Whatever my mood......... soundgarden always makes me feel better.

I missed the list, while I was gone. Especially Shroom!!!! (c:

OK, forgive me, I've been gone over a week. So if this has already been
discussed, don't crucify me yet.

Is there any more information on when, where, & if "Ty Cobb" will actually be
released as a single?

That's all. I am now ducking from all the shit that may be thrown at me! (c:

I was wondering if anyone knows about a story behind "Slaves and

but it illustrates Cornell's whailing ability at its max.

Dear SOMMS,

Now, I understand that the #SOMMS hot-tub parties are VERY private
parties. However, I feel it is only my duty as the official SOMMS cry
baby, to ask that you ***select*** hottubbers do not post about your
experiences in that most sacred tub. It simply is not fair to the rest
of us. WAHWAH. (It would be greatly appreciated if someone would post
pre-party about the next one.) I thank you for your time and hope that
you understand that I am only concerned for the well-being of other
nonhotubbing SOMMSters.

Completely dry and depressed,

that #SOMMS is empty, as usual. WAHWAH.)

I'm SORRY! I've only had minimal experience with them, and even tough it's
been quite crappy, I figured it might be better for you guys. Please forgive
me for maybe filling your head with false hopes! They do have Louder Than
Live and Motorvision, though, if you're REALLY desperate to find them, you
might be able to get them here. MIGHT. But it may be worth a try. They have
cool t-shirts, if nothing else.

I forgot, due to my overwhelming emotional outburst, that I wanted to
put in my .02 (learned that little notation from Seth-the guy's so
supercool-I swear I'm gonna show up at MIT's graduation) about moods and
SG.
In my opinion, Fresh Tendrils works for any mood. It's one of my
favorite songs for that reason, plus that "bows down before you" at the
end really puts some grrreat pictures in my head...
>Good Mood Songs for Margret: Drawing Flies, SWMGEC, My Wave, Hey Baby, Bleed Together, Head Down
>Songs for Those Could-have-done-without-it Days: Fluttergirl, Boot Camp, Overfloater, Tighter and Tighter, Outshined, 4th of July
>MAD songs for PISSED OFF Days: Kyle Petty, Ty Cobb (of course), Cold Bitch
This is just to name a few, obviously. It seems that, no matter what
mood I'm in, I can always find a SG where it's like Chris wrote it
feeling exactly the way I feel. Or just that he sings the words the way
I need to hear them. It's sometimes not eben the words. Sometimes his
voice is what touches you, you know?! The only thing that can make you
feel ok, because you really NEED it. Ok, no sense is being made
here...I'm a babblebabble fool. Byebye, luv Margret.

Well seeing that this is a Soundgarden list and Hater is strongly related to
that band, I don't see it as irrelevant if there is talk about Hater on the
list. If you've got something to say about Hater, don't wait until a Hater
list is created....say it now!
