Subject: Justifying Myself!

To whom all this may concern,
I just wanted to justify myself to all the people out there who
ripped on me. Maybe you should go back and read my letter again. Nowhere, I
repeat nowhere did I say I ever slept with this guy, kissed this guy, touched
him, or let him touch me. Of course he tried to touch me, because he was
drinking but I turned and smacked him. He knew I just wanted to enjoy
Soundgarden and I told him if he didn't enjoy my company just as it was I
would stand in the Isle and watch which was still closer than my seat. He
was a gentleman apologized, told me how much he liked Soundgarden(that is why
his seats were so close) and we enjoyed watching the rest of Soundgarden's
set together than I went back to sit with my friends. I did not ditch my
friend's, there was a big group of them and they knew exactly where I was.
In fact some of them left and got closer for Metallica.
Now with the sluty skirt thing. HELLO!!!! Isn't there anyway
possible a skirt can be pink and short and not be sluty? I didn't know I was
condemned to wearing jeans at concerts. I like dressing up for special
occasions like this was (I wasn't even dressing up, I dress fashionable all
the time). I want to ask did I ever go into detail and explain what I was
wearing? No, I said I was wearing a short, metallic, pink skirt. It happens
to be a very fashionable skirt in Los Angeles and I like it a lot. I should
be able to wear whatever the fuck I want to wear anyways, I am the only one
who needs to like it. I got a lot of complements on it, both male AND
female! I didn't think there was something wrong with when a guy
complemented me on it I asked him if he would get me in if I bought him some
beers.
I apologize if anyone judged what I wrote wrong! I didn't know I
had to go into little details about things, I just said a few things. Who
Knows maybe I should look at how bad it might have sounded without details
but then again maybe you should look at what you say without making
assumptions that could hurt someone. I am a good person and it pissed me off
to see people say that it was crude, dirty, sluty, or any other rude words
used to describe what I did . I know people are probably still not going to
understand me but please read this again if you don't. I am just a die hard
Soundgarden fan. If there are other ways to get closer in shows please tell
me! I go to Los Angeles shows and believe me security is very tight, it is
not that easy to get in. Remember LA is a very big city like New York which
means more people and more very mean security. The first show sold out in
5-10 minutes which would say there is security looking for psycho fans like
me trying to get a closer view. Well anyways I m rambling. Please if you
have any suggestiins on getting closer please tell!

                                                                   sincerely,

I was thinking of something the other day when I was listening to
Searching with my Good Eye Closed. You know that part 5 minutes into the
song where Chris screams at the top of his lungs, "<hollers> is it to the
sky, it is to the sky"? Is that the highest his voice has ever gone? That
part is screeching. I really can't think of any other songs where he has
gone higher than at that point. The only thing I can think of that would
come close is Birth Ritual.

Also, is there a place on the webpage where I can see all of Soundgarden's
smart ass comments that they have made? Those boys crack me up.

Greetings from a previously silent observer.

I thought you guys should know that this summer, I had the splendid
opportunity to go to Lollapallooza in Des Moines, Iowa. It was
the greatest time I ever had at a concert. Not only was the music
spectacular, but I was fortunate enough to win a special t-shirt.
This T-shirt, was given away by the best local radio-station (107.5).
It was air-brushed by a very talented young artist. On the back was
a very flattering and intriguing portrait of Chris C. Also, it was
signed by all the members of the band. Pretty Cool!

Soundgarden is great on their albums, but live and in my face, they
were just short of giving me an orgasm (just joking). I thought the
concert was a success, especially givent that the Ramones (the second
best group there), and Metallica (too many new, shitty songs, but still
really good) were there.

Well, talk to ya later. Got classes now!

*that's* what you said, jessica.

ways around it. use your brain, not your boobs, and you'll be surprised
how far you get and how much more fun you'll have. for myself, i'm always
polite and nice to the security guards at shows here, most of whom work
all the shows, and they ALWAYS give me set lists, etc. because i'm nice.
not because i flash my boobs (trust me, girls do that), or anything else.
because i treat them like a human being.

matt's drum tech gave me that stick at the showbox show because he knew i
was a FAN, because i'd been there on line since 3pm and toughed out the
show in the front row. NOT because i wore a short skirt -- he didn't give
these girls trying to get his attention that way earlier the time of day.
and ya know, short skirt, i could care less. it was your statement that
you let this guy paw you and that you 'had' to sit through it to be close
to chris. <shakes head>

we have problems with, not what you wore.

Ok, so much babble, lets get to the point here. My point is....did you see
how Billy said Soundgarden was still holding up the Alternative scene, along
with someone else, but I didn't care much after he said thoe sacred words.
not only that, did you see Delores from the cranberries....was she in some
weird way, trying to copy Chris' haircut? Or maybe that's just me who's
soooo touchy about the way supposedly try to copy my dear boy Chris......Not
to mention this boy at this new school, whose name is David, has the same
exact haircut as Chris, just bleached. AAAAAA but it was still a bad day.

Oh my lord and stars, you are right.. First of all it's scary that I have
"Hootie" in my CD collections (a short, very short lapses in my mental
state of being), I think I have played it once.. So I never really looked

But is that saying SG is doing a trendy thing - NO.. I won't go there...

I was in New Orleans last weekend & I stumbled upon a little hole in the wall
record store full of well... junk basically. But amongst the warped Vanilla
Ice 12" & Bee Gees lps & found a promo cd entitled Louder Than Live.
Needless to say I ask the vendor the price & in a mild Cajun accent he
spoke, "hm... fifteen bucks maybe?" I handed him the cash & left
immediately.

Now I wonder this: did the promo originally come in any type of picture
sleeve? The copy I found was just in a blank disc case. I'm happy I found
it & don't really care to get the artwork; I'm just wondering for general
knowledge. Also the version listed on Steve's disog has Big Bottom & Earache
My Eye as track 7 while mine consists of two separate tracks (7 & 8 of
course).

The store was cool other for another reason. By the door were dozens of
framed b&ws of the owner standing with several 'famous' music artists such as
'Weird Al' Yankovich & um... well, no one that I particularly recall right
now. But believe me: they were as much or moreso significant than Vanilla

if it's a yellow and black screen on the disc, then you indeed have LTL.

LTL was released in a corrugated cardboard 'jewel box' -- not a paper
sleeve, but a 'folder', that was duct-taped and bumper-stickered shut. most
people didn't keep the packaging -- i keep mine in a jewel case -- but
that's what makes it so rare. if people have it, they don't think it's rare.

as far as i know, myself, chris mackenzie, and now ray are the only three of
us that have this. (and if you do, it's fine to tell us, but PLEASE don't
post your entire sg collection or we'll never hear the end of it).

congrats ray ;-)

Subject: limo wreck

hiya postees,
has anyone else seen a limo wreck? I say "else" b/c I have. I was listening
to limo wreck today, and it reminded me of a wreck I saw a few weeks ago. it
was a limo one. I was across town with my family. we were driving down the
road by the mall, and I saw this four-window stretch limo sideways in the
middle of the street. next to it was a green pick-up w/ it's front end smashed
up (the pick-up's). as we drove past the limo, you could see that the other
side of the limo had a HUGE dent in the side. it was almost a hole, right
below the second window from the front on the left side. here's where being
all the way across town comes into play. me being only 16 still w/o my license
</me looking accusingly at mom>, and mom being really tired, would not go home
to get the camera and come back!! no one would take me anywhere to get a
camera. she thought it was just plain silly that I'd want a picture of a limo
wreck. I explained the song, but she still wouldn't do anything. we went
straight home. and even by that time the police would have come and gone,
nobody would have been there. so I have no proof but my word. thanks for
reading...
