No offense by the subject line there but...
Just out of personal curiousity, who was kinda offended by the line
"...and all the little pigs have god"? I know there has to be some
God believing people out on this list, and I was just wondering how
you all felt about this.

p.s. just heard on the radio burden is #4 on the billboard singles'
chart.

um, perhaps he wasn't speaking about your god, or anyone else's god, but his
own? or as an archetype perhaps?

ya know, it's kinda like school prayer. i am all for school prayer as long
as EVERY religion in that school is represented equally, no matter what it
is -- buddhist, santeria, baptist, hindu, jain, jewish. i really can't deal
with people who think that their god is the ONLY one out there... my point
being, chris was talking about *his* conception, not yours necessarily, so
why go and get offended?

like when i say, 'god DAMN it", and someone gets offended. excuse me, i'm
not talking about your deity. maybe it means nothing to me?

is this making sense?

Well, I got the Burden In My Hand single today (wink). Well, Bleed
Together is amazing, like I expected ;) It's really fast and catchy and
makes you feel like driving real fast or something or I dunno but it's
just a great, great song =)_ But anyway, the real reason why I'm
writing this is because I was just looking at the cd single.. the cd
itself, that is.. it's the Australian version, in the cardboard sleeve..
and I noticed it has Track 4, the Birth Ritual demo version, listed as
(get this) "Birth Control." HAHAH! BIRTH CONTROL? Excuse me...

HAHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!

:)

Especially with it being on an authorized cd single, not a bootleg, it's
pretty funny. Birth Control... ahhh.. :)

hehehehehehe.. I just looked at it again.. Birth Control (original demo)
5:50. Hahah!

thanks for reading =)

I found 5 picture disk 7" singles ( Outshined, Spoonman,JCP,FOBD and TDITTL)
I also got Stolen Prayers and THE BURDEN SINGLE.( and I was starting to think
that I would have to wait...guess not!!)
I like Bleed Togeher.... its diffrent but I like it.. it reminds me of
something I have already heard... but just cant put my finger on it yet.

Bye all.. " Sleep tight for me... I'm gone"
and belive me I need the sleep!!!!!!!

Subject: #12...I fucked up

I got a little ahead of myself with the inclusion of the
SG patch, since I didn't actually have it in my possession
when I posted. Naturally, when I stopped by the store to
pick it up, they didn't have any more. I got the one I have
on my backpack there, but admittedly that was a while ago.
They may or may not get more, so #12 is hereby reduced to
just the video. If this makes a difference to anyone, just
let me know.

i was reading an old issue of rolling stone yesterday (721), and i found
this and i thought it was pretty funny considering all the smashing pumpkins
vs. soundgarden talk last week.

"...Like when I listened to early Soundgarden. It was all the fucking heavy
metal power that any band could ever muster, and it wasn't dumb, and the guy
[Chris Cornell] could sing his fucking ass off. You go, "My God, how do I
compete with that?" And you go, "Fuck, we'll find a way." "
- -Billy Corgan

Good luck Billy. I'd like to see him *attempt* to sing Beyond the Wheel.

convention in Chicago!!!!! Oh that's right WE are having a somms

still crossed for Kathie and Joe!!! I went to a Blockbuster music to get
mine and got to talk to a few people in line. I have been around music
fans for alot of years but I think that Soundgarden fans are just the
coolest people. The woman running the BBM was diesel dyke from hell I'm
telling you!! Yelling at us like a drill sargent. She limited us to 4 tix
period even though there were two shows. I even got back in line to get
the other 4 I wanted and she still wouldn't sell them to me. Two different
SG fans offered to buy the tix for me!!!! Thanks to them I got what I
needed!!!! CHICAGO ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! toni

Greetings again

well I'm a sitting here checking my e-mail and wondering why I got no
responses when I
asked if maybe some of us could send WAV's and AU's of our bands doing SG
Covers and Seth could maybe put them up on his page in the mailing list
section. I'd certainley get a kick out of it and I'd be glad to send my
bands cover of Outshined. So Seth do you think you could put up onr or two
of our bands covers a month? Do any of you agree or disagree with me?

Oh and I actualy did get one repley from chris farley... Thanx Chris :)

Subject: Duct tape and other ramblings

Greetings Veterans, Newbies and Lurkers,

I'm hoping someone out there can answer a question I've got (Seth?
Justin? Steve?)

K, here it is: I was flipping through my SG stuff last night, and
seeing as I haven't heard the '96 Rockline (sent to me by the Blessed
SOMMS Goddess :) interview in a while, I popped it in. Anyway, one of
the callers called in and went through the routine, "Guys....hey...ummm
I love your music..and uhh.." there wasn't anything cool about his call
until he started naming some of the SG stuff he'd picked up over the
years, and he named something that I've never heard of before (and I
call myself a fan <g>). It was a *duct tape* edition of Louder Than
Live. I'm thinking, "Ohmigod, DUCT TAPE??!!" So, is this some sort of
pre-wallet Chris idea?

Lastly, Don, I'M GETTING YOU YOUR VIDEO--I PROMISE!!!!!!! Sorry for the
delay and thankyouthankyouthankyou for your patience.

I'll be in the hot tub for a while if anyone else is still up. Bring
your own marguaritas (did I spell that right?) because I'm not old
enough to drink.

~Flutter~
