Hello!

This is my first post in the Soundgarden Mailing List. Anyway. For
those of you who have not heard "No Code" yet. I bought it today. It
comes out on Tue. but I have friends who work at a record store and I
was able to hook it up. Anyway. I was reading a post about Jack in
the digest a few days ago. I think Jack does good things for Pearl
Jam. His groove is so heavy. I personaly like his feel. Dave
Abbruzzese is amazing, don't get me wrong but, I'm sure his record
with his new band the Green Romance Orchastra will be great! In that
post, it was said that Stone said that he LOVES working with Matt. I
remember reading that somewhere. If I'm not wrong Stone called Matt
a "sweetheart" on drums. I thought a pretty cool quote. Anyway hope
everyone is well. See ya. By the way, I play drums in L.A. Any
musisians out there??? email.

Sorry mate, I think it was done in the name of irony. Soundgarden have too

Mainly I want a SOMMS shirt, like off the CD itself (not somms mailing list

I've seen a couple of them, black one with the white and blue Badmotorfinger

back, but where I live it isn't that common to find..
so basically, anyone know where I could get a catalog with a shirt like that

Subject: PNW KTMS meeting, 8/23

the 2nd meeting of the local chapter of the KTMS was held yesterday evening,
8/23, once again at the mural ampitheatre in seattle center. the occasion
was the last show in the free concert series called 'pain in the grass',
featuring inflatable soule (<-- sg content).

in attendance were aaron, the list thug (thuggy), his brother, baby thug
(ryan), bonnie cochran & entourage, and the
trio-of-nyc-grrls-with-attitude-transplanted-to-seattle, andrea, vikki and
myself, as well as the somms-absent chris mansfield (who prefers to read the
list over my shoulder instead of cluttering up his own mailbox).

the show was great, except for drunk stupid white trash women throwing
bottles of pepsi at peter, 15 year olds flashing their boobs at the stage,
and the usual crowd of friday idiots who created a mosh pit. yes, a mosh
pit to inflatable soule. what will they think of next.

we then adjourned to a local mexican restaurant where we ate, drank and
discussed soundgarden, somms, and various list members (no names ;-) ).
after i broke up the gathering at 11pm, because chris and i had to get up
this morning at 6am to get quadrophenia tickets, aaron, ryan and vikki came
back to my house because i was selling aaron my clear vinyl, and we viewed
memorabilia and yapped for another hour or so. ;-)

tomorrow we're taking vikki over to the east side record shopping as well as
probably carting her off to magnusson park. it was 90 degrees today, so air
conditioning tomorrow will be a priority.

next KTMS meeting will be the weekend of sept. 14/15, pre-pearl jam (since
the entire KTMS chapter will be attending the show).

signing off, KTMS sergeant-at-arms,

 SOOOOO...

This would mean a grouping of 3 to 4 songs that connect in today's modern
rock... nothing to do with a quartet of musicians. Will seth (music major,
right?) care to back me up here? The word is also taken from the latin root
_sonare_ which means 'to sound.' Sonaregarden... has a ring to it (c:

I think it's just a music-related term that happened to fit in the joke known
as SOMMS. If I were to create a theory though I'd go with: the devil moves

"Bring and take it in and gently blow it out
Drink it down and swallow hard and gaze"

That made me especially happy because I thought it was
