Maybe a different section for different manufacturing places... (ex. North America, UK, Germany, Australia, etc.) 2) If a complete discog is hard to come by, maybe there could be an official Soundgarden lyric book, complete with lyrics to all the b-sides (maybe album tracks as well), pictures relating to each song, notes on all the songs (like in the March 1994 issue of Guitar School Magazine), other shit like that... Maybe even combined with the dicography. Hell, I'd buy it! 3a) Soundgarden trading cards... this may be another nifty way to have an official discography... a card for every release!!! a card for every song!!! a card for every band member!!! 3b) while on the topic of trading cards... "The Soundgarden collectible Card Game". Ever hear of "Magic"? ex. "Chris Cornell uses his 'Pretty Noose card' on the 'Cold Bitch character card', 'Cold Bitch' counters with an 'Applebite card' (loosely and tightly, everything fits, even a Pretty Noose!!)" Yes, I know, its a stupid idea... 4) Soundgarden comics (this is starting to remind me of KISS), don't ask me about a plot. 5) Soundgarden 'Down On The Upside' pop-up book. Have a pop-up page for every song off of DoTU 6) Soundgarden Pogs. (I fucking hate POGS, but they seem to be fitting for SG merchandise) 7) Soundgarden bumper stickers (do these already exist? has this been mentioned yet?), with such phrases as "Hard Headed $%#@ You All!!!" and so forth. 8) Life-sized cardboard stand-ups for each band member (for people like Shroom, I shouldn't forget to mention the life-sized blow-up-the-outside dolls as well) Thats about all the shit I can think of at the moment... I actually got a really cool poster (coolest one I've seen, anyway) It's a sort of "paint" effect on a picture of the band sitting all in a row: l-r matt, kim, chris, ben. Kim's doing Cat's Cradle or something in his lap and matt's looking down at it. Chris wears the skull shirt from the BHS video and he wears the fork. He looks at the camera inquisitively, his chin resting on three fingers. Ben's in all black and wears sunglasses. The letters to spell "Soundgarden" are lifted out of the wall behind using an "emboss" effect. Like I said, I think it's a pretty cool, untraditional poster. All I can say is it's about damn time. I finally met Andrea, Caryn, and Chris! They are all just so damn cool, it defies explanation. It is soooo cool to meet the people behind the posts. Anyways, the resposibility of reporting on an honorary Hootchie member was delegated to me by the powers that be. You're gonna just love this. Okay, here's the story. During the Posies set (which kicked supreme ass), this woman stands in front of us and decides to dance. She's wearing this gauze dress thing that barely passed her hips but was completely see through anyways. She danced like she had a job down on First Avenue at the Lusty Lady, but was one that the patrons shunned. The kind that make you go, "what the hell are you thinking?" Anyways, she twirled and flipped up her gauze so that we could see her underwear better. I praised the lord that she was at least wearing undies. She bumped into many of the people who were standing near her, and it didn't take long before she had a fair amount of room for herself. She also kept falling to her knees and would roll around on the ground like she was in heat. And at one time, she stumbled into us, and she said that she was sorry but it wasn't her fault because her legs were real tired because she had just had a killer workout. She mentioned her tired legs several times. Then, she sees this styrofoam/plasticene plate on the ground and starts wiping it off on the ground and with a discarded wrapper quite vigorously. But it was covered in some BBQ Sauce or Pizza grease, so wiping it didn't do a damn bit of good. She's holding it and using it as a prop. She was obviously on LSD or something of that nature. So, when she had fallen on the ground, I folded up a florescent green flyer that was handed out and tossed it in front of her. She dives over for it, and turns around and tries to give it to me, when she didn't see me throw it. Then she tries to give me her plate. I'll just give you the whole dialog. I also thought of some elaboration for my first ideas, so here they are: 1. My first idea of the rearview mirror thing: make it either the S or the BMF symbol with it also being a air freshener. Maybe smelling like Chris or something. 2. The sunshade: One side have a really good picture of the band and the other side say something like "Hard-headed fuck you all!!". That way when your in a good mood you can leave the picture facing out and when your in a bitchy mood, leave the other side out so you can let everyone else know about your mood. 3. Jewelry: make a necklace or something, maybe a semi-choke one with the S on it. 4. Temp tattoos: for those of without the nerve to get a real one. That's all for now. Gotta go. It is a great haunting picture of the man. I would love for something to evolve from that. Rolling Stone has made some great pictures of Soundgarden in the past so why not use those as a blueprint? Seth's Fourth of July picture with the flag and Cornell's face is another great picture and I can see that being transformed into a t-Shirt. Also, if there was anyway that Chris's various necklaces could be available, then that would be neat. All I ask is that this SG merchandise be something we can all look at and be proud of. Look at the PJ shirts. High quality and good availablilty.
