From what I know, there is no Lolla in B.C. at all. And from what I've heard,
Oregon is left out too. So all the fine folks who wish to see the likes of
Soundgarden will have to drive, walk, bicycle, swim, whatever to George, WA.
Yup, not only will the people from Idaho and Montana be coming to George, so
will the denizens of B.C. and Oregon.

The shirts that the guys are wearing alot these days with the "90"'s on them
is from a company called Shine 90. They make some useless snowboard apparel
and more usefull shirts and off-mountain clothes. Well, the gloves are okay.
They also make some funky hats. Hmmm, maybe I should be fashion coordinator

Subject: My idea of both shows

Hello all! I finally got to see SG! The Lolla show was ok. I got a good seat
in the grass for most of the day, at least I could see the stage! When SG came
on, I moved up as close as I could without getting surfed on. It really
pissed me off that everyone up front was there to party and roll over people,
not to see the bands. But from what I could see Ben seems to be really pissed
for most of the show. He kept cursing his soundman , he must've had moniter
problems. Once he screwed up & everyone in the band just gave him a wierd
look at the same time, it was kinda cool! Chris got pissed at some chick
throwing bottles at the stage! ( stupid bitch!! ) And when they were done ,
they just walked off the stage! no goodnight, no see ya, fuck yall or
nothing. But the music was pretty good! They only played for about an hour!
I'll never forget it! It was my 1st SG experience.
Monday's show in Atlanta was my 2nd SG experience! We got there early, so
did all of Atlanta! I was about 20th in line! I got great seats once I got
inside. I plopped down beside the fountain, between the flower pots(in case
anyone else was there), & waited!! When SG came on the place was packed, most
people there were not true SG fans. It was that obvious!! They had the same
intro & opened with spoonman, just like at lolla. Most of the first songs
were the same as well. Ben got pissed at the soundman early in the show. He
kept making signs to him & spitting on the crowd. His mic went out once and
also beat up his speaker. I have a strange feeling that either Ben is going
to leave or his soundman will ...soon!! I heard Matt miss a couple of beats
during the show! And once they all screwed up! Chris sounded great after a
couple of songs! No shirt again! I saw skin twice in a row. I just can't
handle that much excitment!! He wasn't wearing the fork necklace , no jewelry
at all. He looked a little skinny, Pease eat more Chris. Come Home with me
I'll feed you. hehe! Anyway Kim Jammed. It seemed like every member of the
band was in competition with each other, it was weird! I think I was the
only one there who knew every word to every song. At one point they got into
a jam so heavy, the crowd was just dumbfounded, I was in heaven!! I was
disappointed that they didn't play anything from Louder than Love or
UltraMegaOK. Jesus Christ Pose was the best yet! If you missed the Atlanta
show, you really missed out! Oh yea, on the way back to catch the bus, we met
a guy that caught Matt's drum stick(lucky bastard)!Looking forward to SG
experience3!!! Just thought I'd tell you all my thoughts!
I looked for you other list people at the shows, didn't see you! I was
wearing a metallic blue dot bikini top, & blue jean shorts at the Lolla & the
cool SG tour shirt (with the weird face thing on it)& jeans at the atlanta
show! Just in case you saw me there!! Bye yall!!
                           Rainy!

Subject: New Orleans Lolla semi-review

JUST got back from New Orleans (well I showered first) & I must say...
Soundgarden surprised many with a great performance. Chris did very little
talking despite introducing "My Wave" as something like 'this is a song about
doing what you want & but bothering me when you do.' That's really about it.
He griped at a fan & had security take care of him/her but I'm not sure what
happened. All in all the band was in good spirits... Ben was his
slinky-Gumby-bouncy self & went as far as doing an aerial with that famous
guitar player one legged split which was cool. He was in the leather pants &
a white tee. Cornell (shirtless the entire show despite very little heat)
sounded superb except a small problem in "Let Me Drown" when he sings
'mmmeeeeee!' & Kim leads into his solo. Kim seemed reserved as ever all
though he did walk around alot. Matt, well Matt plays drums so there isn't
much he CAN do (c: He DID play as you'd expect: like one of the best
drummers in rock today.

They brought back "Waiting for the Sun" which was a definite highlight to the
show. Me being the only kid in the pit that knew the song I was given the
job of teaching the other kids when to jump & bob. It was cool.

On another note: the pit was quite tame. I'd been in much rougher pits & I
didn't see any blood this time with the exception of a torn eye piercing
getting caught &..... removed.

setlist in order:
Spoonman
SWMGEC
Let Me Drown
Waiting For The Sun
Pretty Noose
My Wave
Ty Cobb
FOBD
Rusty Cage
BHS (solo)
Outshined
Mailman
JCP

The sun went down right about when they did FOBD & that calmed the crowd down
to the dramatic effect of very little crowd surfing. Didn't see any woo
girls... saw 6 Soundgarden tees worn... didn't see many folks that knew the
words. I was the ONLY one singing along to Ty Cobb (which wasn't very
violent pit-wise) & saw few people that appreciated the solo version on BHS
which I enjoyed. I'm happy to hear such an over-played song performed
differently. The band seemed to jam alot more too... adding extra riff
rotations in Rusty Cage, Outshined, JCP (as usual), My Wave (which was
violent & must have lasted 8 minutes), etc.

Anyway... gotta be at work in a few hours so...

Yes, and I think so . . .
. . . I only got it because I couldn't get my hands on BMF out here, so
when I saw that when I went to London, I decided to get it fearing I'd never
get another chance, then of course, the first record store I go to when I
get back has it right out there in Used for $6 . . . sigh . . . and buy the

Good point. Being an Indian, I have faced harassment a lot. Now I have never
been to North Carolina but I have friends who live there (who are Indian)
and they routinely tell me that a majority of the people that they run into
have a bias against them. This is just what they tell me. If that press
report is true, then that girl should have left when Kim asked. I am giving
Kim the benefit of the doubt. But waitaminit...what if the judge orders Kim
to do two months of jail time? That most certainly would suck.

well, i'm finding myself discussing the band in the weirdest forums
lately. following is a message that came through on the patti smith
mailing list that i run. for those who don't know who patti smith is,
let's just make it short by saying that she is one of the legends of rock
and of punk rock specifically, who stopped making music in 1979 and just
made a comeback last year. (if you really wanna know more, go to
http://www.oceanstar.com/patti ).

anyway, this message came through the list yesterday and i find that sg
and specifically 'no attention' are being used to discuss a recent
interview with patti. weird to see this elsewhere. weird to see the
perspective of someone who doesn't know the band (he only has
'superunknown' and DotU), but obviously likes and respects them... anyway,
i thought this might interest some of you. if you want to discuss this
with him, please email him directly, since he obviously isn't here (though
he asked for info on the list and i sent him to the web page
[advertisement: http://www.sgi.net/soundgarden] to read the digests...

anyway, here goes. food for thought if nothing else.

on a related note, i found myself defending Kim on a terribly chi-chi,
closed, invite only, super-super-indie-cred list i'm on for some reason.
i don't know why, except i occasionally enjoy the discussion; i'm
certainly not indie enough for these people. anyway, a discussion about
kurt cobain's suicide led into a flame of sg and kim, which led into
someone talking about kim's arrest and ended his post with, 'hoping for
the death penalty'. stupid fuckers. i'm tired of indie cred. i no
longer apologize for being mainstream; dammit, i know what i like. yeah i
like soundgarden, and pearl jam, and fuck, i even like oasis. so shoot me

This is the second half of my babbling response to Patti's recent Arena
interview. Apologies to all Soundgarden fans, professional semanticists,
and fellow Patti theologians. Douglas

- - ----

How cute. Again, Patti deflects adulation. She doesn't really expand on
this topic [fans' love of her] much in any of the interviews I've seen.
Patti knows how the business works. Two or more songs from Gone again deal
with how the record business sucks the blood and fire out of artists (GA,
Summer Cannibals, About a Boy).

It's off topic, but I've been listening to Soundgarden's new release.
Compared to GA, "Down on the Upside" is very consistent. It doesn't really
veer to far from what the audience is expecting. There are no "folk" songs
on this album.

As comparison to Patti and this interview, let me toss out the following lines :

"I've got war on my mind blood on my hands
And love on my head
So open your hands open your mouth
Let it be said
You know I've got it made in my mind
Don't waste my time it's not going to change
So say what you want spit it out loud
Into my face

And I'll pay no attention (repeated 10-20 times)

They're gonna tell you where to walk
When to smile and just what to say
They say have your own fun
Make your own mind
And don't make no waves
But if you got a handful of change
Don't throw it away it's gonna come
So say what you want, suck all my
Suck on my brain

And I'll pay no attention (again 10-20 times)"

- - --"no attention"
Lyrics and music: Chris Cornell

If you haven't heard this song, it rocks. It's a rocker. It kind of rolls
and then slips into a sullen groove with the chorus, "And I'll pay no
attention, pay no attention, no attention, no attention...etc.".

To me, the song is a defiant stand against authority. somewhat cynical
perhaps in it's worldview. paranoid perhaps. very dark. All these
terrible things are happening to him, but of course, he knows what's going
on, he's above it all, he's taking the high road. He'll just pay no
attention. Pay no attention, rather than f'in bite your freakin' head
off!! it's that kind of attitude. unleashed adrenaline. The early stages
of a certain de-evolution, let's say, from a hard heroine habit to a slight
beer and reefer dependancy.

My whole point of bringing up this song and these two musical groups is
their attitude toward rock n' roll and the music business.

In GA, Patti sayz, referring to Fred:

"fame is fleeting God is nigh
we raise our arms to him on high
we shoot our flint into the sun
we bless our spoils and we're gone we're gone

Refrain

Here's a man man's own kin
he turned his back and his own people shot him
and he fell on his knees
before the burning plane
and he beheld fields of gold his land his sun
and he arose his blood aflame
the clouds pressed with hand prints stained"

Kind of reminds me of "Pissing in a River". Again, a certain futility.
Again, a story that elucidate a higher meaning. It's not her own story.
It's like "Horses/Land" where she takes a wounded soldier, doing his duty
to man and god, and transcends his experience.

And this is where my vocabulary and academic training fail me. Both songs
seem to talk about a certain futility, not being able to change the world.
Not allowing the world to change yourself. Both songs have a higher road,
of sorts. Chris Cornel of Soundgarden prefers to ignore the pain of life
(the war in peope's head, the spitting in faces, the telling to walk, talk,
etc.). And this denial _feels good_.

In her other "rocker," "Summer Cannibals," Patti tells the tale about
"souls a withering", "uummm what a treat", "just got too damn rough and I
pushed away my plate", and then:

"and said boys I've had enough
and I laid upon the table another piece of meat [herself]
and I opened my veins to them and said come on _eat_"

So Patti sacrifices herself. Instead of feeding off of other people, she
turns the tables, so to speak, and offers herself up for grabs once again.
It's similar in sentiment to GA's closing lines:

"Hey now man's own kin
he ascends into the wind [sowing seeds]
grateful heart grateful limbs
grateful man he's gone again"

Again? Will he appear later? There's an optimism here. A renewal. And
again, I get lost on semantics here. The Soundgarden song "no attention"
attempts to end on a similar note, but falls short:

"But if you got a handful of change
Don't throw it away it's gonna come
[....]
So say what you want, suck all my
Suck on my brain"

Enough for now. So when Patti deflects questions about adulation, this is
what I think about. When she refrains from adding to the "punk priestess
who adored bob dyan and all men" theory; this is what I'm thinking about.

  Cheers, Douglas

PS: Hope this squeezes through sizewise. Again, thanx to Anthony.

All theories expressed here are in draft form only. I completely reserve
the option to reverse any and all opinions. :-)

 Heheheh...
Ok... here's a description of myself for anyone who's going to Lolla
tomorrow. I'm 5'9", 120lbs... I have long long red hair with three braids in
the front (beads on the bottom)... I'll have a black headband on... and I've
got my navel, left eyebrow, and tongue pierced. I'm not sure what I'll be
wearing yet... but more than likely I'll look like one of Caryn's woo girls.
Heheheh... think Erin will let me sit on her shoulders? JUST KIDDING!!!
No, I won't be flashing body parts around... which is just as well, because
I hate the sun, so I'm very white. I'd probably blind people. ;-)
Anyway... wish me luck in doing something totally outrageous that will
hopefully get me closer to the band, but not arrested. Heheheh...

Subject: mIRC on AOL

WARNING!!! THIS IS A LONG-ASS MESSAGE ABOUT AOL AND IRC IF YOU DONT HAVE AOL
OR IF YOU DO AND DONT WANT IRC..DO NOT READ!! NO SG CONTENT!!

this is for all of you AOL'ers who have never enjoyed the joys of IRC.
theres gonna be a soundgarden chat that the list is gonna have on sunday
night to celebrate it's anniversary. If you would like the opportunity to
use IRC..not to mention netscape instead of the shitty AOL web browsers,
just follow these steps:
1) You must have windows 3.1 or win95
2) You must have AOL 2.5, if you dont have AOL 2.5, go to keyword:Update and
download a v2.5
3) verify that there are no copies of the winsock.dll file already on your
computer. If you find other winsock.dll files on your computer, you'll have
to rename them (for example, "winsock.dl_") while you're using AOL's Winsock.

The way you verify whether you have copies of winsock.dll depends on whether
you're using Windows 3.1x or Windows 95.

Windows 3.1x. To verify that there are no copies of the winsock.dll file on
your computer:

 1. Double-click File Manager in the Main program group.
 2. On the File Manager File menu, select Search....
 3. Type "winsock.dll" in the Search For field and press Tab.
 4. Type C:\ in the Start From field.
 5. Check Search all Subdirectories and click OK.
 6. If the search finds any copies of winsock.dll on your computer, proceed
with caution: back up all copies of winsock.dll, then rename them (something
like "winsock.dl_," that is, "winsock.dl" followed by an underscore). If you
are not comfortable backing up and renaming files, DO NOT PROCEED with these
instructions.

Windows 95. To verify that there are no copies of the winsock.dll file on
your computer:

 1. On the Start Menu, click Find... Files or Folders.
 2. Type "winsock.dll" in the Named field and press Tab.
 3. Type C:\ in the Look in field.
 4. Check the Include Subfolders box and click Find Now.

4) Go to keyword: winsock
5) Click on "Click here to automatically download winsock"
6) Download the file into the directory c:\windows
7) log off from AOL
6) exit and restart windows
7) log on to AOL
8) download mIRC..to do this use the shitty AOL browser and go to ()
9) follow the instructions at the site to download and install mIRC,
10)run the 16-bit version of mirc not the 32 bit!! once you have mIRC
installed, run it and go to file, then setup, or just click on the
little yellow folder.
11) make sure youre in the irc servers part of the setup
12) click on add
13) type in irc02.irc.aol.com in the description AND in the IRC server space.
14) put 6667 under port then click on add
15) where it says real name type your name or a pseudonym or whatever
16) put your e-mail address where it says e-mail address.
17) where it says nick name...you guessed it..put the nick you want to use.
alternate is the nick they'll give you if your nick is taken
18) click on ok.
19) it will say unable to resolve local host and then connect
cancelled..dont worry
20) go to setup again then click on local info..now you should see some
stuff under local host.
21) under ip address put 152 then this is the kinda tricky part.
lets say under local host it said 170-19-171.ipt.aol.com then you would
put this after 152: .170.19.171 if it said 125-15-167.ipt.aol.com for local
host then the ip address would be 152.125.15.167
22) make sure that the boxes next to local host and ip address are UNCHECKED
23) click on ok
24) you should be able to connect now, click on file then on connect or on
the little lightning bolt.
25) ok that should be it..you should get a bunch of crap on the screen about
your irc server. then it should say end of /MOTD command
26) click on join #somms, or whatever channel you want to join
27) thats it! enjoy!!

I hope someone will find this info useful, it took me all morning to figure
this out. sorry prodigy and compuserve someone else will have to figure this
out for you. If you have any problems with the setup, just e-mail me and ill
try to help, dont post to the list.
hope to see some of you AOL'ers on IRC on sunday.

1)Badmotorfinger - 116
2)Down On The Upside - 98
3)Superunknown - 92
4)Ultramega OK - 53
5)Louder Than Love - 51
6)Screaming Life/Fopp - 44

50% thought Badmotorfinger was the best album.
22% thought Superunknown was the best album.
13% thought Down on The Upside was the best album.
4% thought Louder Than Love was the best album.
4% thought Screaming Life/Fopp was the best album.

Nobody's Rankings were the same as the final result, the only person who

Surprisingly, when I posted the fact that Louder Than Love was in dead last,
LTL's rankings went up fast. hmmmm

Subject: Golden moments with Soundgarden
From: tonerkin@usa.pipeline.com (Tonerkin)

I'm Back! I'll try and keep this short since Kelly did an extensive
review of the proceedings in Atlanta. I have to agree with her observations
on the Underground. The posters for the concert should of read
"soundgarden at the mall" It was a bit distracting to see people underneath
the band buying overpriced Olympic souvenirs. Strangest concert venue I
have ever been too! Think Soundgarden standing on an overpass on the
interstate-the pit being the roadway and the rest of us being on the next
overpass looking at them. That is what it reminded me of.
Long Long Wait. Got there at 4pm (heard and saw the soundcheck through
the fence very close which was cool and yes, close up Chris looked just
fine in those black jeans!) Soundgarden didn't actually hit the stage until
9pm!!! Opening band sucked(lead singer called us cunts at one point that
always endears you to people)
Anyway, from where I stood left of the sound board right at the railings
looking straight across at Chris-the sound was excellent. Highlights for
me were BIMH, JCP and Let me drown. Chris's voice was in great shape,
Kim's guitar clean and clear and Matt and Ben together on JCP were
fantastic! The crowd around me was a mix of people age-wise. Everyone knew
the songs in fact we had several sing-alongs on Searching, my wave, Ty Cobb
and OUtshined. People knew both the old and new stuff. No pushing, moshing
or drunks.... You'd have to be an old fogie CEO of a company to afford to
get drunk at $4.50 a beer! The only bad audience members were these two
woman with big hair and bad teeth that weaseled their way up behind me
towards the end of the show. They both had the most obnoxious Minnie sue
Mouse voices and the extent of their loud conversation was: "Oh Chris is so
fine" " I'd do him, would you do him?" "to hell with my old man I'm doin
Chris!" Don't hold your breath honey!!!!
Overall, definately worth the trip!! A true endurance test standing in
the heat for 5 hours before I got to see Soundgarden. That's the reason
why us old folks sometimes stop going to concerts it's not that we are tone
deaf all of a sudden or don't enjoy music anymore. It's hard to find
orthopedic Docs and the corns and bunyons hurt standing that long :-)
I'll on a roll anyone want to invite me on another road trip to see
Soundgarden???? toni
BTW: the Olympics were in Atlanta also.......secondary to Soundgarden of
course but I did check them out over the weekend. Too much sports shit for
me!!!!

Kim just hit her because he was so upset about his hotel room being
broken into. Kim is really worried about that sort of thing--I read
in Entertainment Weekly that he leaves the tv on, the bathroom light
on and the bathroom door closed so they would think he was in there.
"Just so nobody goes through my stuff," I remember him saying. It can
really make a person act differently when something like that would
happen to them--especially if they've gone through so many precautions
to prevent it.

Subject: Newport Lolla Trip

Everyone was so prompt in their responses about Sunday's Lolla show in
Tenn. I wasn't sure I should even respond, but here goes...

I had fun. I'm glad I made the trip.
Soundgarden is one of my favorite bands...

but Sunday's show seemed flat to me. Like many of the other bands I saw
on Sunday, it seemed like the SG was on a mission to get through that
damn set list and get off the stage. To be sure, there were fine
moments-JCP, Mailman, Rusty Cage and parts of of Searching and Ty Cobb all
gave me those feelings of musical satisfaction. Spoonman, FOBD, Pretty
Noose and Burden all sounded kind of forced. Their seemed to be a lack of
chemistry at times between the members of the band and I couldn't discern
much enthusiasm at the fact they were performing-it seemed a lot like
they were going through the motions. To be honest, there were even some
musically sour moments (vocal on Pretty Noose, Burden, out of tune sounds
from instruments in FOBD). All in all, for me (and apparently the band)
the thing was kind of a struggle.

NOW...

This was not an easy thing to write to 500 folks who treasure SG. I'll
repeat again-Soundgarden is one of my very favorite bands. I'll be seeing
them again.

I realize that this was a busy weekend-between a birthday and an arrest
and who knows what else and I can appreciate the effect that can have on
a group of performers. It was also incredibly warm-another hurdle. But
you know, I'm not here to make excuses for anyone or argue with anyone
who's take on the show is different from mine. I am a well-experienced
audience member. After over a hundred shows of rock and roll, I am happy
that most have met or exceeded my expectations, which are not necessarily
high. I go to see a live performance because I am drawn to a
certain chemistry that I hear in the songwriting and recording (and no, I
don't expect that live performances will match the record). What I saw
Sunday appeared forced and was weak enough in spots that I wouldn't call
it a great performance. It was O.K., not Ultramega O.K.

I imagine I'll get burned for this, but I had to express an honest
opinion...

Chas

Being drunk and stupid is no excuse to harass others, even famous =

Hello,

Yeah, I was the one that said we should gang up on this Heather person (if
you can call her a person). I think the whole wedding party should be
slapped. They started this whole incedent, and it is their own fault. If they
weren't assholes in the first place, this never would have happened. Yeah,
violence usually isn't the answer, but some people will not understand
anything else, especially in an innebriated state. So, if they won't back
off, beat them off. People like this are usually animals. The last time I
checked, animals didn't have the power of reasoning. It's like, when your
dog/cat/whatever shit on the floor, you don't sit them down and discuss the
reasons why they shouldn't shit on the floor, you sternly inform them with
some actions or strong words that they messed up. See, they understand the
body language, but not the language itself. If I was in that hotel lobby at
the time, I would have jumped in and stood up for Kim, like most of you
would. And if they wouldn't stop, I would bitch slap every last one of them.
So unite, one and all, and join the Anti-Heather Mifflin campaign. 'Cause,
"We want you." Damn, this heat is driving me insane. It's so hot, I walked
outside and spontaneously combusted. Heheh, maybe I should go now.

Ready to beat to hell anyone who tries to mess with Chris, Matt, Ben, and
Kim,

Well, my much anticipated Lolla pics didn't turn out. I've got some of
Screaming Tress and Ramones (I think) that came out fine. But by 8pm when
Soundgarden came on, it was too dark for them to look good. Aaaauuuggghhh. So
Caryn, it's up to you girlfriend. I would suggest Shroom, but for those who
would want to see more than various parts of Chris' anatomy, I guess Caryn
could take some that are more rounded so to speak. Have fun everyone!!!

a dissapointed,

I've been looking for Stolen Prayers and Fresh Deadly Rarities for as long as
I can remember, and I just found *both* of them new for $28 each. I've never
seen them anywhere before, so I needed people to give me an idea about
whether or not this is a good price. Or if anyone knows where I can get them
for less, let me know. TIA.

let me say one word here...
DISPOSABLE CAMERA WITH FLASH
you need the flash to hold the shutter open long enough to get some kind of
image. otherwise personally i hate flashed out live concert photos, but
here we're not going for the pulitzer!

you say this to the woman who just suggested that they need to add 'tush' as
a scoring category for men's gymnastics. but i appreciate the sentiment.
however, i really, really, really have no intention of killing myself down
front for lolla, unless the pit is half empty and/or asleep. i'm buying a
nice set of binoculars this weekend and going to find a spot on kim's side
of the stage (it's the far side of the stage from the entrance) and going to
stand there with my yellow "FREE KIM THAYIL - somms@mit.edu" sign.

or at least that's what i'm saying now. >;->

in any event, i am taking a camera. however, i think i did my somms photo
duty for the year, dontcha think?? ;-)

Is this the same as the "Video version" on the Songs from the Superunknown

Some things to keep in mind about this mailing list (and all mailing
lists, actually):

- - When you're reading through your daily ton of list mail and you see
something worthy of a reply, put it aside until you finish reading the
rest of your messages -- someone may already have posted exactly what
you were going to say.

- - If you're a digest subscriber, read the whole digest before you
reply to something. I often hear about people getting flamed for
something they said which they later corrected in the same digest or
people getting flamed for being the most [arrogant, obnoxious,
vicious, stupid] when their posts are tame in comparison to stuff
found later in the same digest.

And something to keep in mind about this list specifically:

- - If you wish to unsubscribe, email ME directly. Sending mail to the
list is obnoxious; none of the other 550 subscribers can help
you. When you want to unsubscribe, just remember "Help me, Sethi-Wan
Kenobi, you're my only hope."

Subject: I'mback,yourfaves,&Chris'sbody

First of all i just want to say Hi because I v'e been off on
vacation river rafting for a while. When I got back after reading my ton and
tons of e-mail I came to the conclusion that I missed a real fun,
controversial week with the sommsters.

next, I was just curious which albums and songs are everyones faves.
I have to say I'm in love with "Louder Than Love". It must be Chris' sexy
voice or something.
(I warn you skip the obsessive parts if you don't like it!) I think "Power
Trip" is the very best song. The way Chris screams into the microphone turns
me on. His voice sends me into another world, I picture him lying naked an a
bed of black satin sheets, Just kidding.........actually I picture that all
of the time! :)

This one is for Shroom!!! I saw in a past letter you wrote about how
Chris kissed Eddie, or something to that sort. Then you wrote you wished it
was Dave Navarro. Oh My God, I really do think we are soul sisters! I think
that would be so incredibly hot! Of course you know I am obsessed with Chris
but Dave Navarro rates right up there babe!!
Boy do we have impeccable taste!

Hey you sommsters going to the Irvine Meadows show a week from this Saturday.
Can you believe it is less than two weeks away? I have been getting so
excited knowing that in a short time I will be seeing Chris in person as well
as the band. Although I'm not that close I am going to try to bribe one of
the security people to get closer, cause after all they are humans and I'm
sure they wouldn't mind some extra dough. If not , at least I'm not in the
lawn section. Who knows maybe I can pay off the tour bus driver to kidnap
Chris and take him to a deserted wherehouse where I can seduce him, Shroom,
I'll have to give you a call!

                              Anyways,late, -Jessica Cornell
