Well I was at one of the New York state armory shows and quite
honestly I didn't think the sound was all that great. I've seen the 2 cd

Just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am that I found this list! It is
so nice to know that there are others out there just as obsessed as I am
about SG and especially Chris. Most of my friends think I am such a freak
for living and breathing SG.
By the way, does anyone know where to order cool SG posters on the web or by

Thanks

Here it goes

You know you're obsessed with Soundgarden when:

After a long day at work you stay at the university just to read all
the list mails and to check out the homepage, instead of go home to
	have dinner.

You realize that you do all the things other ppl belive you do
	when you're obsessed with Soundgarden.

This one goes to all the spanish speakers, estas obsesionado con
Soundgarden cuando haces tu mejor esfuerzo para escribir en un
idioma que no es el tuyo, mensajes que tengan un poco de sentido.

You travel 1900 milles to be at Lolla, just to see the band live
for the first time in your life (I'll be at the Atlanta show!).

You're going to study abroad and suffer a lot because you're
going to miss, not your family, not your friends, but your
messages from the list during a complete month of vacation!!!.
I really will miss you all.

Subject: Kim & the Presidents

Heard another snippet of news on the radio (either KISW or KNDD, I was
switching back and forth) while driving into work late this morning.

They said Kim was messing around in Bad Animals studio with the
Presidents doing a "drunken session" and they did a cover of April Wine
(i think, i was trying to really hard to remember before my mind got
cluttered...). So they said you could be sure that copies of that tape
were floating around in Seattle and one of the deejays would be out
there searching to get his hands on one. That ought to be a nice
little addition to someone's SG collection. Hopefully the deejay will
have success soon.

I'm getting to people at work with my obsession. Yesterday, a friend
asked if I'd be interested in a magazine she had that had an article on
SG (July US). I lashed out and reprimanded her heavily for even having
to ask such a question. This morning the first thing I see when I come
into my office is the mag opened up to the wonderful two page pic of
the guys on my chair. She's learning!!

Later!

that reminds me of something. the first time I heard chris sing
never the machine forever, it reminded me of tool and their song sober.
not the whole song (because they are pretty different tunes) but just the
part where he sings 'follows me down the river, shadows me through the
sky...'. it sort of sounded like when maynard (of tool) sings 'there's a
shadow just behind me, shrouding every step I take...'. the connection is
probably only a product of my skewed imaginings, but kim was having
trouble with the lyrics for that song, and he is a tool fan, so maybe the
connection may be there; even if it is only subconscious.

I'm glad to see that ben has not lost any of his vigour with
respects to live shows and audience reactions. I'm sure that by now, with
his punk-type attitudes in mind, he has become tired of being seen as the
opening attraction for what seems to be 'the metallica and friends music
festival'. it would be disheartening to go out on stage and use up huge
amounts of energy, and then find the audience hasn't moved, except to yell
"play enter sandman". but my question is: did he spit on anyone? :)

Subject: Props for SG

Hello everyone. I'm new on the list, so I won't make too big of an ass
of myself by ranting about SG quite yet. I just wanted to write and give
a few props for Soundgarden concerning their Lolla performance.
I read what others have said, and I agree the most with Greg
Bensimon. I was at the front of the crowd by the time SG went on.
Nothingman and I went down at like 6:30 in the morning and were at the
raceway by 10:30. That left WAY too long before any decent bands went on
to just roam around. But anyways, the crowd was hell during SG. I got
kicked in the head so many times I lost count. Being tall is no
advantage when people are crowd surfing.
I had gone primarily to see SG, and they didn't disappoint. They
music was great. Boy, was Ben pissed. I ended up watching him more than
everyone else, just because he was funny. Chris was really intense, and
Kim was just kinda there. He was funny, too. Someone hit him with a
bottle, so what does he do? He moves up on the stage. Unreal!
I think SG may be getting tired of being the "opening act" for
Metallica, but I saw Chris on MTV saying that Metallica was pretty much
the reason that they were doing Lolla this year. SG absolutlely rocked.
It was worth getting crushed just to be that close. I wanted to stay
there for Metallica, but I knew I would die, so we got a bit further
back. Metallica absolutely rocked. The music was incredible and the
band was lively. The opening set for One was a literal blast, as
pyrotechnics went rampant all over the stage. It was good to see
Metallica play a show with all hard material, basically. I was a little
scared they might be softening up in their concerts, too.
Back to SG, they did a great job musically. I wish Ben would have
been slouched over like he was on Motorvision and that Kim would have
moved more than his fingers, but I don't care. I got to see
Soundgarden!!! Woo-hoo!!!! Anyhow, it's cool to finally be on the
list.

Chris

PS The shirts are finished. I saw them, and they are pretty okay. They

i would second that, and i'd also just like to say that, with all due

Ummm.... how about:

"HEY CHRIS, I THINK YOU DROPPED SOMETHING"
(Think he'll bend over and look? Heheheh...)

"PLAY SOME SKYNARD MAN!!"
(I spelled that wrong, I think...)

"NOTHINGMAN DID IT... SHIRTGATE 1996"
(or should it say 'Nothingman DIDN'T do it'...)

"SHROOM KNOWS WHERE YOU LIVE"
(ummm... a little paranoia never hurt anyone...)

Yah, these suck... but I'm not sober. Forgive me, kiddies...

 - - - The decor of your cube at work includes several SG stickers, the
Flower
postcard, and a picture of Chris & Kim accepting their 1994 MTV best heavy
metal video award. The car has two SG pics on the dash, and the husband's
truck has a SG air freshener.

Is this for real? Can you really get SG air fresheners? I swear you cant
get any fantastic SG merchandise in Australia, if you do find anything it is
about four times as expensive than in the country of origin. A long sleeve
Tshirt is on sale here for a mere $59.99, now one's obsession may go a long
way, but not in this case. Are tees this expensive in America?
