My prized SG possessions are all my SG CDs. Although it may seem common and
ordinary, there's nothing greater than the real music.

World Premier of New Album

On May 13th Soundgarden stages its first-ever live satellite broadcast
to world premiere the band's new A&M album, DOWN ON THE UPSIDE. The
90- minute broadcast, originating in a Seattle studio is set for 7:00
PM PST on May 13, the day before radio stations receive the album and
eight days before its May 21 in-store release date. The broadcast will
feature the four members of Soundgarden talking about and spinning
selected tracks from the new album, as well as answering questions
from callers coast-to-coast and an in-studio audience of fifty guests.

In addition to the satellite broadcast and the radio and retail ship
dates, the band will make its first-ever TV appearance when they
perform two songs on Saturday Night Live, on May 18, with Soundgarden
fan Jim Carrey serving as host.

DOWN ON THE UPSIDE is the follow-up to the Seattle-based band's 1994
#1 multi-platinum album, SUPERUNKNOWN, which earned the band two
Grammys and catapulted them into the realm of America's premiere rock
`n' roll bands. Soundgarden produced the new album, which boasts
sixteen tracks and nearly seventy minutes of music.

The premiere single, "Pretty Noose," is set for a April 24 radio
release date, while the video is due to be directed by noted
avant-garde visual artist Frank Kozik, and will contain many elements
of animation.

Beginning June 27, Soundgarden becomes the first band ever to repeat
as a headliner of Lollapalooza when they join Metallica, Rancid, the
Ramones and Screaming Trees on the Main Stage of this year's festival.

Subject: votes

I haven't been getting many responses for my poll over the last
couple of days, so I guess I'll round up all the votes and post them on
the list next week.

so if you want to vote, you have until wednesday of next week to
reply *to me only* on which song is your favourite from the last two
soundgarden albums (badmotorfinger and superunknown). don't send it to
the list, whatever you do.

littlejoe and I are currently writing the unofficial soundgarden
faq sheet for seth's (our) page, and one thing we need to know is:

what are all the different soundgarden shirts?

so if you can make a list of some of the shirts (sg shirts, that
is) you have either seen or own, then that would be just dandy. the list
will go up on the faq sheet, and anyone who can give us a definitive list
will be rewarded handsomely (ie. acknowledgment on the faq).

I remember someone saying they owned 21 shirts, so somebody on
the list must know.

I was under the impression that it was a radio show, and that local
stations would carry it because it's being broadcast via satellite.
Maybe it is a television program...
