A&M Records homepage is now up and running!
There is only a blurb about Soundgarden but I'm sure there'll be alot
more once the new album comes out. It has videos and interviews to
download (none of SG at the moment).

The site is at: http://www.amrecords.com/

From: seth <saperl@MIT.EDU>

Another shirt design was submitted tonight, which I've added to the
ones available on the Web page. Please do submit more designs. Also,
as URB@NO mentioned, he's writing a script so we can deal with the
voting in an organized way, so stay tuned for that.

I added a list of fonts that I have that we might be interested in
using on the shirt. I only included 17 of the 600+ fonts I have, but
they're what I consider to be the better-looking or more appropriate
ones from my collection.

This can all be found in the usual place, in the shirt section of the
list Web page, at http://www.sgi.net/soundgarden/list/shirt/

Well, peoples... this isn't really SG related, but I just wanted to
remind all of the Love children out there that today is the sixth anniversary
of Andrew Wood's death. I hope all of you will take out a few moments today
and remember this great man. So dig out all your Mother Love Bone and
Malfunkshun albums, and enjoy the love rock he created. Don't let Andy be

Tonight was "Seth Learns A Tiny Bit Of Perl Without A Manual." It took
me a couple of hours to write essentially 3 lines of code, but I
accomplished what I set out to accomplish (kind of).

Announcing...THE LOLLAPALOOZA 1996 FRIEND-FINDER!

Going to Lolla this summer? Want to meet up with some list members at
the show? Just want to find out how many people you can expect to see
wearing "Posting With My Good Eye Closed" shirts? Then get your butt
over to http://www.sgi.net/soundgarden/list/lolla/ and enter your name
and email address in the form, choose a show, and click the "submit"
button.

You will be added to a list of people who are going to the show, and
the list will be available to everyone so you can contact other list
members and make plans to meet.

Hope this is useful, and if there are problems, let me know. There is
also a link to this from the Member Directory.

Does anybody where I could send it so that I'd be sure he'd get it?

Anybody else interested in a Cornell shirt? I'm going to be leaving this

Good joke- if we were to get any mail from Chris would it be sent from
"Soundgarden@I.am.god.com" or Kim from
"Soundgarden@I.really.am.jesus.under. this.beard.com". Or maybe one
from Jason Everman at "Soundgaren@I.am.in. the.army.now.com"...

BTW, I vote for the shirt to be true to form as possible, and have
"somms@mit.edu" on it instead of just "somms".

Damn! A lot of replies! Ok people, I realize my first post wasn't as
accurately written as a I meant it to be....So...You gotta understand
where I'm coming from. I listen to bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Ozzy,
White Zombie ect. Soundgarden IS my favorite band, but they're about as
soft as I go. I always thought of them as the band that bridges the gap
between metal and mainstream alternative. And it seems like mainstream
music has been getting softer, and softer and softer....Know what I mean?
I was disapointed at the turn pumpkins took with Mellon Collie. A lot of
you seem to like Kyle Petty. Its all based on opinion, and Im not one to
argue this...so we'll see how good the next album is...But I think we can
all agree that
SOUNDGARDEN KICKS ASS.

Subject: hi & first post

well, i finally unsubbed to a few mailing lists so i could finally sub to
this list. i didn't do it before because i was told you guys like to
talk a lot. ;)

obviously, like everyone else i'm psyched about the album, and even more
psyched that the last lolla date is within driving distance for me. ;-)
i've been watching some vids of the last dates of some old lolla tours
and they're pretty intense -- all th bands coming onstage to play
together, etc.

chris' mom was on the radio here in seattle on thursday -- she's a
professional psychic (which i assume most of you k now) and came on to do
a reading for Rob Zombie, of all people. she sounded cool. why they
called her i don't know -- it's not like they do this on a regular basis
or something...

and as a new member, i'm not going to presume to have any input into the
list shirts. but, i did coordinate tshirts for another band mailing list
with over 300+ members last year, so here's some advice: whoever is in
charge, then just be in charge. get a consensus and do it. there will
ALWAYS be people who don't like it or aren't happy or come into the
discussion at the last minute and expect you to change everything around.
if you wait to get 100% consensus (which will never happen), the tour
will be over before the shirts are done....

anyway, nice to be here

peace

I just heard Weird Al's rendition of Black Hole Sun, and thought it was
pretty cool, although I was hoping he'd do the whole song, it's just a
medley of songs that he incorporates into this big huge polka song, with
lyrics from anything from Closer by Nine Inch Nails to Loser by Beck,
You Otter Know by Alanis Morissette to Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden,
from Bang And Blame by REM to Bullet With Butterfly Wings by Smashing
Pumpkins. Weird Al's tape does have a Lump parody (Gump.. hehe) in its
entirety though which is cool. The polka is a bunch of lyrics from
popular songs all sung to a polka beat, or something. What I mean to
say is..... oh, I give up. I'm going to bed.

Yeah, I heard that. Some people from this unexplained
phenomonon (did I spell that right) are trying to get her to come to
our school because she gave her number out on the air. She's a
numerologist (how do you type fake exclamation marks, because if I
type a period it will make me sound very serious, but if I type an
exclamation mark it will make me sound very excited, which wouldn't be
that true because I don't normally get excited about someone being a
numerologist, unless I become a numerologist, which I would be pretty
excited about, but I doubt other people would be). That is all.
