The calender is pretty cool, although I was disappointed in its format.
I thought it would be like a real calender, with a box for each day - you
know a calender. Instead it just lists the days at the bottom. (Thanks,
I didn't know there were 31 days in March) It does highlight the
weekends though. It's basically a big picture book, with 12 pages.
I sent my $15 to the fan club last week. I am axiously awaiting
my welcome package. That's my story...

Great pick for female vocal. "It Can't Rain All the Time" alone mades the
soundtrack for "The Crow" worth the buy... When she sings this number it is
almost like a lullaby for the damned.

Hey Aussie - I do have a Violent Femmes song "Color Me Once". See I knew I had
one somewhere in this mess I call a collection..

Other great songs on this soundtrack - "Burn" the Cure, "Medicine" Time Baby
III, "Golgotha Tenement Blues" Machines of Loving Grace, and would you believe
the only song to make any noise on the billboard was "Big Empty" STP. If you
don't have this CD, your collection is lacking..

Other females to sing with Chris, how about his sisters?? Just got the
Inflatable Soule CD "So Sad". One fine CD, they have a new fan to add to their
growing numbers.. (Deb, you were right, they are unbelievable). How about
Melissa Etheridge - of course it would be a battle to see who could scream the
loudest or the longest..

There is something wrong - It's hard to believe that love will prevail. It
won't rain all the time, the sky won't fall forever and thou the night seems
long your tears won't fall forever. .

Canada was ok, but left much to be desired (the two new songs came out
listenable and that was all I cared about) Oh well, I did my best, I put
Dolby noise reduction on it, what can I do? I'm not God. the copy of
Reading I received came in the mail and the tape was broken and had no

think it's quite a fucking bargain for two dollars even if it does sound

I think the whole point I want to make is that putting music to vote is
extremely bogus. Who cares if the MTV fans only vote for Flea if they
think Kiedis is cute. As long as you are satisfied with what the music
does for you than a stupid fucking vote should carry little weight.
Please don't buy Rolling Stone, fellow listers. It does bad things to
good music fans.

No need to argue.

Everyone,
I was going to quote Jamie's message about the crow soundtrack, but it was
too long. Anyway Jane sieberry's voice is amazing, however it would get
swallowed up next to chris's. I bought the crow soundtrack just for the
Jane siberry song. But then I discovered the wonderful gems: "color me
once" by the violent femmes. "darkness" by rage "Golgotha tennement blues"
by machines of loving grace. etc etc. As for billboard not giving credit
to any of the other ones. Lets just face it: Billboard sucks.

Hey guys,

If you all want, I can post the article of the new album, but I couldn't do it
this weekend. Here's an excerpt of it though:

"The song tentavtively titled 'Ty Cobb' sounds like the Ramones meet the Stooges
head-on in a train wreck. ....'It's not not really about Ty Cobb,' Cornell
says. 'The original title was 'Hot Rod Death Toll,' but the lyrics reminded Ben
of Ty Cobb, which is a cool name."
Other songs in the running include "Christi," "Blow Up The Outside
World," "Boot Camp," "Apple Bite," "Zero Chance," and "Karaoke." Cornell
describes the last number as a song that addresses the death of good original
music today. "It's about how loads of bands are imitating something that
already exists."

Has anyone ever made a Cornell drumskins and ducttape wallet?

BadMotorFish- that's awesome!!!!!! Erik, Siamese Fighting Fish's are
rather small little suckers, with an attitude. They're like 2-3
inches long and come in all these cool, neon colors. BadMotorFish
(mine) is BRIGHT purple, they look sorta like Pugs (the dog) b/c their
noses stick up and all their fins are twice as long as their bodies.
And they have extremely bad tempers, if they get upset, they will poof
all their fins up and ram up against the tank. Self destruction in the
aquatic world.

Whoever said that AIC could go on w/o Layne nailed it on the head,
that's one of the few bands that I can think of that doesn't depend on
the lead singer. And I think Melissa Etheridge and Chris would be
fucking awesome together!!!

For those of you who have Inflatable Soule stuff (is it spelled
right?), can you get it at places like Camelot? And which CD should I
get? I think I'll get a bunch of CD's today, does the CD+ work on
most IBM compat's or is it notorious for problems? What is Chris'
daughter named, I forgot :-( Oh yeah, have they ever been on SNL? Ta
ta for now

Not completely - Jerry could take over the vox no problem, but would he want
to? Jerry has said that he finds it that bit more difficult to sing AND
play, so I'd say that if he was to sing full time, his playing would at
least be detracted from if not relegated to simplicity...then again, maybe
not...

I got you copy of Reading yesterday. Hey it's a bootleg what can you expect,
I'm just happy to have it for the new songs. I always get a hoot out of the
chatter that you hear on boots, or the poor guy trying to sing along.
Especially when he sings off key. If you want boots that are perfect, then
collect only the ones from bands that have areas set up for taping.

Don't feel to bad about the tape not being 100% perfect. Hey, I have a CD
player that has a mind of it's own, sometimes it has the left speaker -
sometimes it doesn't. I just hope for the best and I hope the people I have
made tapes for understand - I'm not a professional with a sound studio.

For those who have heard SG's new song 'Ty Cobb', just out of
curiosity, how does it sound. All of their albums have
distinctive traits to them, and I was curious as to what direction
they're heading right now. Could 'Ty' have been put on Superunknown

Each direction they've taken, I've totally dug, so this shouldn't

to hit them up for information on whether or not they've ever checked out
Seth's web site, and what they've thought of it. Also what their future
plans are, and whatever other pertinent info we can think of (like if they
were cartoon characters, what kind would they be). Wouldn't that be groovy?
Get it all on tape (preferable video, but most likely audio would be the best
we could get)... and then make it into a few awesome wavs to post to the
web!!! That would be (as my neighbor's gangsta-wannabe kids would say) "da
bomb"!!! Ummm... I'd volunteer, but since I'm a few days away from Seattle,
and so obsessed I'd probably ruin the whole thing by doing something stupid,
like launching myself at him or else freaking out and hiding in the bathroom
during the whole event, I guess I'm ruled out (and desperately in need of
some sleep).
I know it would work, because we almost accomplished it here in Dallas
with Pantera, except the idiot who was supposed to get the dirt on them
forgot a tape for his recorder. He's still being harassed for that one.
Anyway... I guess I've babbled enough for the moment. I'm going to pass out
now. Thank you and good night... <kisskiss>

Good, good! But don't forget to buy a full VF album now [you too,
Vikki!]..........(Color Me Once is nowhere near their best song).

YES! FOLKS! Your collection is lacking! :-)

Way to go, Clown!

Yeah. Billboard sucks. Come live in Australia.

But it gets annoying sometimes when a very talented player (whether I

(not anyone like Flea, I mean some obvious others here) gets all the
votes from those stuffy nosed bastards that call themselves "God" in
the music business, or even those top 40 fans that can't wait a week to
hear Rick Dees and the Weekly Top 40 shit. I think that's all I have
to say.

Yeah, you're right, the world will always be a fucked up place.

I was gonna say this but someone got there before I did. But she does
have a good voice...except Chris might have to worry about Mel stealing
his wife. ;)

Chris has a daughter? Where have I been?

76>Oh yeah, have they ever been on SNL?

I don't think so. In fact, I'm pretty sure they haven't.

Ummm... I must admit I'm fairly ignorant when it somes to vinyl, so I
need some help. This weekend I found three things I wanted, and only bought
one. I got SG's Jesus Christ Pose 12" because of the "limited edition
4-track posterbag". It's bigger and better than the JCP poster I already
have.
The other things I found were:
- - Screaming Life 12" original SubPop release in mint condition. They wanted
like $45 for it. Too much?
- - A 12" promo album titled "Louder Than Live"... supposedly all live stuff
(from the video, I guess). Had a cool picture of the band on the front.
 Price $21. Too much?
Let me know what's up on the vinyl front, please oh-wise-and-great SG
freaks... I need to know if I should be waiting on the front doorstep of the
store tomorrow morning when they open... Thank yew thank yew thank yew...
