I always see Mike McCready in that black Cheap One shirt. What the
hell is with that anyway?

YES! Now I know where that damn fork came from!

Slogans & Logos for a "t".. How's this:

Slogan: (UN)subscribe to (saperl@mit.edu)

Solgan: Seth rules SOMMS
Logo: This could have Urbano's drawing of Seth on the back

Solgan: SOMMS Member - "Clowns with Bazooka's"
Logo: Crazed clown with bazooka in hand

Slogan: SATANOSCILLATEMYMETTALLICSONATAS
Logo: "?"

Slogan: "Soundgarden is a tear from an eye.. dreaming"
Logo: This one would be good with a pair of eyes, maybe Kim's Razputin
eyes. With a tear drop formed from the letters in
Soundgarden
coming out of the corner of the eye.

Hello fellow SG fans,

Has anyone heard a song called "Soundgarden Sucks" sung by a low life group
called Mother Mania? Is this some sort of joke or did they seriously write
this song in order to make fun of SG. If they wrote this seriously, then they
are a sad, pathetic group looking for attention. I guess they got what they
were looking for. I don't know the lyrics to the song and I have never even
heard it but I know people who have.

SG fan forever,
Christopher

Hey - I like "Posting with our good eye closed".
Keeps with a Soundgarden song and yet has a Somms list theme - posting.
Anyone else agree??

And can we have a t-shirt that's NOT black? All the SG t-shirts I have are
black - it'd be nice to have one in another colour (I'm not fussed what
other colour).

Is anyone on this list a GG Allin fan? Ben Shepherd, the bassist who
dresses "preppy" to qoute someone on this mailing list, used to be a huge
fan. Just like Kim Thayil used to like the New York Dolls and Kiss, Ben
used to love moshing and creating havoc in his younger days. I personally
think GG is offensive and was a threat to himself and tractable young
people but his point is a lot like that of progressive bands these
days---that is that you should be able to express your opinions in a form
you think is suitable. For example, Soundgarden's "Hands All Over" we all
agree is about environmental destruction, not matricide, yet radios won't
play it. GG Allin tried to use extreme forms of expression to depict his
life and his vision of others' lives. Lastly, listening to a guy like GG
Allin or let's say Slayer, doesn't mean you're self-destructive, insane,
or disturbed---just look at Ben Shepherd and many of Allin's fans.

I like it. Hey Mon(druid), are you still collecting t-shirt graphics
ideas?

Something other than black is okay with me... I wouldn't mind a nice,
heavy white shirt, actually.

Yeah, he wasn't even gonna go to work that day, but his mom talked him
into it, saying that it was the "responsible thing to do". I wonder if
he eternally hated his mom after that. -j

Hi

I was just in Seattle last week and I saw Artis the Spoonman playing the
spoons outside of SBC across from Pike Place Market. It was really cool. I
took two pictures of him playing.

'Posting with my good eye closed' sounds good to me! Heavy white sounds
good, too. Are we seriously talking about making a somms member
t-shirt? I was going to mention it a while back, but I forgot. I was on
the mopar mailing list for a while and they were working on a t-shirt.
We need somebody to organize, and we need designs and we need to vote.
I'll buy one!

I haven't heard of the song, "SG Sucks" or of Mother Mania. I do know
that Primus fans have shirts that say "Primus sucks." Maybe the MM song
wants to take the same approach but I am not sure.

Stone Gossard often wears a Ramones t-shirt as in the Pearl Jam Unplugged
show and at Lollapalooza '92? and at a show I went to in Austin where the
Ramones opened for Pearl Jam.
