Ok, to keep this sort of Soundgarden related, does anyone know if they
still play the Canada-only version of Outshined on MuchMusic? If they do
then I can FINALLY see it, muhahahaha.. mommy has a satellite dish :) :)

I'm so very sorry.

This message reminded me of something...I will be living in South
Carolina this summer (when SG is supposedly going to be on Lolla). It
was hard enough to find SG fans in my hometown in OH where I lived for 17
years. So if anyone is close to Hilton Head, please let me know.

My three fav SG for the moment are 1. Mailman (for any man or woman who has
been treated badly this could become a anthem) 2. Outshined 3. Fell On
Black Days...this is the song that peaked my interest in SG

Thanks to everyone on the list who gave opinions on the two SG videos
Motorvision and the other (my brain isn't working)! Anyway I ordered both
of them. I have never seen SG live and I have to see Ben "Gumby" Shepherd
moving around on stage.

Any SG fans in Alabama?? Keep it up with the Lolla info. I am planning a
major driving vacation and could put the city of my choice on the list.

I think, when they say that, that they mean that raspy thing that all

I just realized something I never did before; Soundgarden is the only band
that, for me, commands a certain respect and awe. I like other bands like
Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam, but none of them can do what
Soundgarden does. Everytime I play a SG album, especially Louder than Love,
there's a sense of power and dominance. The music kinda sucks you in. You
feel like they are powerful and you must listen to them. Songs like Gun and
Power Trip, especially. There's a type of aura emanating from the stereo
speakers. It's like the music is so heavy and powerful, that you must
listen. Sorry to ramble, but I have just had a divine experience. i had to
share it.

i'm really glad that i could contribute to the list in such a positive
way, generating such long, heart-felt, and profound conversation among
its members, but i think we have officially determined that what makes
duct tape duct tape is not its color, but the nylon strings in it that
keep it together and give it its unique properties. now, let's close the
book, shall we?

i totally agree. that is almost exactly the same way i think aobut
soundgarden's music. there isn't a thing that could or should be better
aobut it. the way everything comes together. they're like a good kind of
hard rock band, with the added abilities of harmonies and weird little
overtones and stuff that can't be recreated by anyione else. i have never
heard anyone that can do the songs in the same way. maybe it's because
chris' voice is so integral to the sound, more like another instument
than someone's voice, and no one can even come close to the kind of power
that he produces in all ranges. the drums are, i think, the other part of
the experience that makes them truly unique. the guitar can at least be
copied, and some of the bass isn't even all that tough, but the drums are
wild, esp. on songs like spoonman. of course, the third part is the fact
that the guys are themselves totally cool, and that affects the way you
listen to them. i'm done

In case anyone from the LA area was planning to go to the Twisted Willie
show....yeah right!...The show set for the 20th/21st has been cancelled
and a new date will be rescheduled. Hopefully the new venue and date
will make it possible for Mr. Thayil to attend.

really bad tv on friday nights...on the contrary...friday is the best
