sp as a whole may or may not be a good band, but billy corgan is a
flaming asshole, childish and pompous, and as a singer, he sucks. i find
bobcat goldthwaits voice more soothing when i have a hangover

just a point about the holy water thing. (please excse the typing, i am
inebriated)

that aside, the rusting thing doesn't strike me as a devil thing, but
more as a disillusionment with organized religion, something he has
expressed outside of his musical and lyrical expressions. holy water
rusting me implies not that it damages him immediately, but wears away,
slowly, subtley, kind of creeps up on him, so that by the time he
notices, it's almost too late. just a different view, but one that
grabbed me very strongly after i read the posts

I HATE that broken glass song. It annoys the hell outta me. AAHHH!!!

Woah! Mr. Bungle? Some of those lyrics are pretty funny, but most of
'em suck. And the guy sounds like he's got a clothespin on his nose,
like Billy Corgan, just a bit more annoying. I know Faith No More has
some pretty good lyrics, and the guys voice is a bit less annoying, but
I guess you're sorry that I disagree, right? :) I think Chris Cornell
is much better at writing lyrics and singing. Besides, Mr. Bungle has
all those clowns all over their self-titled album. I HATE clowns.
They scare me.

And at least they use more than one drum beat, unlike the Offspring.

TO>Yeah, let him die in peace. Where he may learn more chords...

I dunno. I think maybe that hole in his head might hinder his guitar
playing a bit.

TO>> -Maybe I'll go into punk...I know four chords.
TO>You could do better than ezra if those four are G, D, E, and C.
TO>Otherwise, i know more than four chords. i guess i'm overqualified for
TO>punk. -j

I know G and C. I could learn D and E reallt fast.
I also just learned Kickstand. I watched the CD+ and then played along
with them. It's the first song I can play and sing to at the same time
(I've been playing the guitar off and on for about a year now, just got
my own). Now if I could just sing along to My Wave I'd be happy...

And then there's the guitar on Last. I love that song. It's even
better on headphones.

Subject: the last word. Religion and Chris

Chris grew up in a large Catholic family. He is one of 7 siblings.

Dan, the PopTart hit "Holy Water" on the head.

"Say hello to Heaven" is in remebrance of Andy Wood, so Chris was singing about
what he knew. Heaven has a life after death thing for Andy.

"Your Savior" is an anti-conformist song. The 'savior' represents an object
that people think will bring you great joy and happiness, i.e. money,
popularity.

"Jesus Christ Pose" is a reaction by Chris to pictures he had seen a lot of
famous people being photographed in the Jesus Christ cross pose.

thanks,
