Hey All-
I must say, with finals and all, I was not ready to read
the 70 so posts on my e-mail each day..most of them
were deleated. But all of a sudden, my mail list
shrank to a piddily 3 letters a week. Now, I see my mail
box is full of people, talking soundgarden, singing sound
garden, and genreally raving about Soundgarden.
Hope everyone had a cool winter break. If you
still can, pick up the winter ales from Samuel Adams,
Anchor Steam and Schell's. It's good to see everyone
back.

uhhh....huh-huh...in my best Beavis and Butthead
impersonation....hasn't the "Deep Six" CD been out for like...uhhh...a
long time??? Just checking. I'm no expert, but my buddy who's a
raving Sg loon has had that for a long time.

Anybody out there seen or read the book "Loser", which is about the
Seattle scene from its roots to the present? Pretty awesome, so if you
have buds in Seattle--that's how I got mine--ask them to get it for
you. Talk about obscure bands! Cool pix too.

Also in the literary corner, anyone get the "coffee table" book of
photos by Charles Peterson? Ain't worth $35, and it's mostly pix of
Nirvana, but there are some absolute classics of a young Soundgarden!

Anyone ever look at the Sg newsgroup thang?? Ouch, pretty hurtin' b/c
they hardly talk Sg! First time I looked at it, it was full of PJ sux
messages!

Hey, kiddies, have a nice Friday! I'll be back on Monday unless
someone flames me!

catch ya later....deb

Should SG be on Unplugged-
Absolutely. One person made a list of nearly 40 songs..so they
have plenty of material. And I think the songs have staying

help!)

I got the coffetable book. At Costco it was only $20.00 and it came =
with a cd so it was kind of worth it. It has a lot of good pictures of =
Soundgarden (including one of Kim without his beard) but mostly ones of =
Nirvana and Mudhoney and stuff. The cd has only nine songs on it, the =
one by Soundgarden is "Entering". It was an okay deal, but definitely =
not worth $35.00.=20

thank the gods that the digest has returned. I never realized how truly =
meaningless my life is until I had no digest to slobber over each =

I need my daily fix.

2 songs:

cd+:
--as of yet, a&m marketing hasn't gotten to me. no comment.
2 songs I dislike:

could
pull it off. maybe they'd rescue the whole thing from the melissa =

Was anyone else as lucky as I was to get the Soundgarden calendar for
Christmas? It is too good! I recieved it from Dana , a former list
member. Unfortunately, she unscribed due to one too many nasty grams in her
mailbox. The calendar has some great pictures. There is a disproportionate
number of ones of Chris, but that's OK with me!!

Subject: ...yet another web page!

Hey!

Well my site is almost ready to get out of Beta development. The
discographies have been 'cleaned up' and the opening page is 'close' to being
finished before I put in the image map sometime next month. I'd like to hear
some comments about web page content and anything else I should change or
add.

I've tested the site with:

1. Lynx
2. AOL's PC Browser
3. Netscape 2.0b4

I'm having a small problem with AOL's browser because it can't handle some
Netscape tags. I'm not going to change anything because AOL is planning to
update there browser to handle these tags very soon.

Could people with Mac's take a look and see if everything looks OK?
Ditto with Mosaic users.

Thanks,

Steve

to everyone. It's well worth 15 dollars. :)

2 Favorite Albums:
Badmotorfinger and Superunknown.

2 Favorite Songs:
Half and Mind Riot. Dammit that was hard. (to limit it to two)

Favorite Band Member:
Order of admiration I have: Ben, Chris, Matt, Kim.
(They all pretty much rule)

Rating of CD+-(with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)
9. Most problems with the CD+ are due to my computer. The only thing I
didn't like about the CD-ROM part was that the superunknown had the same
song for all of the animation. The songs on the audio portion were great.

2 Songs that don't make your fancy:
Maybe Room a Thousand Years Wide. But, that may just be because I can't
wait to get to Mind Riot and have just finished Searching With My Good Eye
Closed. Also, Spoonman sorta. But most songs grow on me eventually.

Do you think Soundgarden should do an Unplugged performance?
Absolutely. The acoustic 'Like Suicide' brings tears to my eyes. Also,
I'd really like to here Mind Riot acoustic.

What other bands would you say sound like Soundgarden?
Led Zeppelin
