And you are exactly right the author didn't get anywhere near the band or many people that even knew them. I wondered if he's even been to Seattle!! I learned a little about the early years that I didn't know but other than that not much else. I think the British press picks the "band, person or whatever" of the moment and lavishes praise on them (Oasis being an example) and they like to slag everyone else it seems to me.
