Hey Soundgarden fans! Being new to the list, i would like to get a
general idea of what you guys like about Soundgarden. So if you guys
could kindly fill this out for me it would be appriciated! I will
make spreadsheet with all of the final results.

2 Favorite Albums:

2 Favorite Songs:

Favorite Band Member:

Rating of CD+-(with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)

2 Songs that don't make your fancy:

Do you think Soundgarden should do an Unplugged performance?

and finally......

What other bands would you say sound like Soundgarden?

If you guys and girls could fill this out and return it to the list
or to me at:
tsmith@oak.lakefieldcs.lakefield.on.ca

Thanks!!

TS>Hey Soundgarden fans!

Soundgarden fans!? Where!? Wait'll I get my hands on those silly
varmits! I'll tear the...oh, wait...nevermind...

TS>2 Favorite Albums:

That's a toughy. I guess it depends on what day you ask me. As for
today, I'd have to say Louder Than Love and Badmotorfinger.
Superunknown takes one of those positions sometimes, though.

TS>2 Favorite Songs:

Another toughy. I really like Fell on Black Days (the video version is
my favorite version) and Drawing Flies has the greatest guitar riff.
Loud Love and Little Joe are great too. I'm sorry, I'm not good at
making decisions.

TS>Favorite Band Member:

I guess I would have to say Chris Cornell since he is my idol and all.
It's the fork. I finally read those interviews with Chris and Kim on
Spinonline and MTVonline, and they have the greatest sense of humor.
And for a name like Kim, he has a bitchin' beard.

TS>Rating of CD+-(with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)

10, just because it has the video of Fell On Black Days. That has to
be my favorite video. The Superunknown is pretty cool too. It's
Soundgarden, it has to get a 10.

TS>2 Songs that don't make your fancy:

I'm assuming you mean Soundgarden songs, since this is a Soundgarden
list and everything. I guess Holy Water and Face Pollution.

TS>Do you think Soundgarden should do an Unplugged performance?

I'm not sure if they'd have enough to do a whole performance, but I'll
bet Chris has some more acoustic songs up his sleeves. I'll bet Fourth
of July and fell On Black Days would make good unplugged songs. And
how about Jesus Christ Pose? :)

TS>and finally......

TS>What other bands would you say sound like Soundgarden?

Well, There are a couple Candlebox songs (Don't You, especially). They
have similar guitars. I was playing Don't You one day, and someone
said, "that's Soundgarden." I told him what it was, and then I played
Spoonman (they have the same chords) and he realized his mistake. Not
that the singers sound anything alike (Chris blows Kevin away, but I'm
sure you knew that) just the guitars and some drums. Some of my
friends mistake STP for Soundgarden, but I don't think they sound too
much alike. Again, some of the guitars are similar, but nothing else.
Also, Soundgarden (Chris especially) sounds so much like the Beatles on
She Likes Surprises. When I played it for my mom, she even thought so.

In the immortal words of Forrest Gump, "That's all I got ta say about
that."

                                                              Nothingman

-Little Joe run for the boarder, leave your home, leave your mother
and father.

Hi, fellow Sgarden fans!

Hey, is anyone out there reading that Sgarden "biography" by Chris
Nickson? I know someone had asked about it right before we all got
disconnected. I have yet to start on my copy, but the friend I bought
a copy for for Xmas is just about livid. Obviously the guy is British
b/c the book is dry and boring. Then it seems it's pretty apparent he
didin't bother to talk to the band at all--it's all crap from the
press, and the Brit press to boot. YUCK! :( Any other comments on it
would be welcome!

I have a topic for discussion. Has anyone else noticed how the Brit
press rags on Sgarden? Always showing them in as bad a light as
possible? I do think it's true that sometimes an interviewer can piss
them off--I'd act the same way in such an instance--but some Brit
arties don't even have an interview to back them! What's anyone else's
thoughts on this phenomena? Anyone else notice it?

And hey, folks--we all got the same instructions:

Not really I think that would just piss Kim and Ben off. Kim would have
no distortion and ben would have to sit down and be still.

>and finally......

>What other bands would you say sound like Soundgarden?
I think that Kings X has some Soundgardenish elements, but they have been
around longer. They are similarities but they are not really alike. I
also think alot of rollins band stuff sounds similar to gun.
