i got brad the first time it came out, before they rereleased it, and i will
recommend it.. it's a cool album, but don't expect PJ sound... or
soundgarden... just had to throw that in since it's the soundgarden mailing
list.. but it's a cool album...

any of you in the greater ann arbor area next friday are welcome to join
in our little party here to celebrate the end of the semester, finals,
and the beginning of eric's and my last semesters at the university of
michigan, aka temple blue and gold. btw eric, where are we going to have
the party? neither of our places is exactly small, and i don't know if
sean will go for hosting a party, even though he'd pretty much know
everyone. anyway, we're probably going to try and make some soundgarden
cover recordings and not embarrass ourselves to any dysfunctional degree,
so any suggestions you would like to know are being covered, let me know.

Here are yet more of the infinite possibilities for band names:
	BILE
	Bucket of Anticipation
	Inane in the Membrane
	Rotting Elvis
	Wrath of Coleslaw
	Fecal Matter
S.P.C.V. (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty
		  to Vegetables)
	Nutflush
That's eight- I could easily spurt a hundred more, but won't in the face
of decency. Any coincidental with actual names are so purely by
coincidence. Also, someone recently suggested the name 'Free Beer'-
this sounds like an analogy to the name 'Everyone Gets Laid', of the band in
the movie PCU- in any case, it's not a bad idea. 10-4.

Seattle may be the same, but ever since John Wayne Gacy died, Chicago
just hasn't had the same pizazz. But, Brian Denahey did a great
impersonation for the made for t.v. movie. I wonder who will play Curt
in the inevitable movie. My vote is Tom Arnold or Joey Buttafucco.

I just have to say that I HATE Canoe Reeves!!! Almost as much as Burt
Reynolds, and that is alot. I hope they don't film it here. I'd be
tempted to go spit on his One Character acting ass.

Temple of the Dog seems to get alot of mention but I haven't seen anyone
mention the song credited to 'Alice Mudgarden' on AIC's 'SAP'. It's a song
called, 'Right Turn' and Chris Cornell does some of the vocals, it's a great
song.

Another one I haven't seen is 'M.A.C.C.' from the Jimi Hendrix tribute album.
It's TOTD minus Stone Gossard, an other cool song, and I think Chris Does a
great job on the vocals.

Yet another, but more rare, recording are the pre-Pearl Jam, pre-TOTD 'Stone
Gassard Demos'. Stone, Jeff Ament and I think Mike McCready are on it and
Matt Cameron fills the drum spot in. It has all instumental version of PJ
songs that were on 'TEN' as well as 'Pushing Foward Back' found later on
TOTD. The songs that made it to 'ten' are a little different from the final
product but Matt's drumming on them blows the other ten drummers PJ has had
to date away!!!

A note on Matt: I can't put my finger on it but after Neil Peart, I think
Matt is the best drummer in rock today.(Nobody tops Peart!!!)

That's all for now!!!
BUDDHA

I can copy the Stone gossard thing for anyone That wants one, you'll have to
send me a tape first though.

But Stacy, thanks for the info on The Prodigy's Voodoo People. I just love
that song (I also love Nirvana's Very Ape), and it was refreshing to know
that I'm not strange to think that the start of those two songs are pretty
much alike!!

I'd also heard about the movie Feeling Minnesota, and assumed that it might
have something to do with Soundgarden. Having Courtney Love in it turns me
off quite a lot, though................

And can people please quit on the cat stuff? I happen to like cats, and it
pisses me off to think of such sick people in the world - I'd bloody well
like to run THEIR head over with a lawnmower.............!!

But westerns won't be the same since John Wayne died. He was a real
man. None of this Brad Pitt shit.
While we're on the subject of John Waynes, maybe John Wayne Bobbitt
should play Curt (maybe in the X rated one).
