Hi,
I'm just wondering whether Ultramega OK is a well known
album in America, as I recently picked it up in a Virgin Megastore in San
Francisco, along with the Screaming Life/Fopp EP, but when I got back home
(to Australia), no one knew about it, and other SG fans here thought that
Louder than Love was their debut album. Hmmmmm . . .

Bye Bye,

I just read a little bit of info that said that SG will be in the MTV arena
on Wednesday, 11/29 at 9:30 EST. Is this only for those of us with AOL,
again, or is it accesible through the MTV internet address?

Subject: CD+...I hate it

This CD+ is really, really pissing me off. First, I don't have a CD-Rom, so
I have to beg my friends to use theirs. I've tried it on two CD-Rom drives
so far. One of them couldn't even see the disc, and the other wouldn't work
either. And the second CD-Rom is practically brand new, but of course it's
a Mac, and even though I tried to follow the instructions to the letter I
probably screwed it up because I don't know shit about Mac's. So I've just
returned from break to sort through the 107 messages. I'm convinced that
Susan Silver is Satan, and that the CD+ was a bad idea. But I still wish I
could get mine to work.

Ok, someone wrote to the list about Soundgarden doing an MTV chat thing
this Wednesday and I went to aohell and checked myself, he was right..

Wednesday, November 29th, 9:30 pm EST, Soundgarden will be
in the MTV Arena on AOL.

I don't know if you can access this off of the Internet, I'm going to
use aohell myself. I hope this isn't like that SPIN thing... They better
answer some of my questions this time!! :) Let's make comments about how
much better www.sgi.net/soundgarden is and see what happens THIS time...
hehehe, we'll probably get sued if we pick up another Soundgarden cd as
long as we all live.
As for Alive In The Superunknown, I was having extremely bad luck with
it, trying it in three computers and none of them would even read the cd
before AND after I installed the Corel drivers. But today my friend
asked me for a ride home, and she has a 486 dx4/100 with 8mb RAM so I
asked her if I could use it. It played the cd perfectly, without having
to install the Corel drivers. I thought it was pretty damn cool...
especially with the picture of Chris with this totally goofy look on his
face and his finger shoved so far up his nose he looked like he was
mining for gold.. but I couldn't find the My Wave/Kickstand videos or
the game.. hmm... Oh, well. If you can't get it to work, my advice is to
ask around, and find someone who owns a nice computer, it should play...
:)
Sorry for cluttering up your mailbox, and cya

try really, really, really hard to get them to talk about the
next record! try getting some song titles and stuff like that. and ask
chris if his throat is feeling all better now :) and wish matt happy
birthday for a couple of days or so ago. but most important is the
album. and work a bunch of praise for seth and *our* page into all your

I need your help! I have been a Soundgarden fan for many years now and have
only had the privilage of seeing them live at Lollapafucka in 92. Does anyone
know if their touring right now and if they are, how the hell do I find out
where they are?

I apologize if there is a REALLY easy answer to this question. If there is,
please have it in your heart to give it to me.

don't compile and send the digest, you may not send mail to
somms-digest. (and yes, I realize that it's hypocritical of me to send
this message to you kind people who subscribe to somms-digest, and I

ALL MESSAGES ARE TO BE SENT TO SOMMS@MIT.EDU.

Whatever you send will wind up in the daily digest anyway.

probably object to Soundgarden". I still have one of them in my room.

There is a really answer and it is no. They mentioned in their AOL
session that they are working on a new album and won't be playing any
gigs except possibly a surprise club gig or two in Seattle. That's all I
know about it.

Hi,
I bought my disc for 4.95 from Circuit City. I also checked

the only copy available at that Circuit City, and didn't see it anywhere
else. Puzzling..

So now I've started thinking and reminiscing about the Louder than Love
era. I was 14 or 15, and I remember the first time I ever saw SG. The
video for Loud Love came on the Power Hour on MuchMusic. From those
first opening bluesy notes I was a fan. The whole mentality of the
band just struck me (and has struck me over and over again) The car crashes
and jumping around on this psychedelic-type rooftop, and smashing the
fake skylights and chimneys at the end. These guys were talking right to
my soul! (Hahaha) I especially remember this one interview with Kim Thayil
on the Power Hour. The VJ asked him why he requested the 2 videos he
did which were Pearl Jam "Alive" and TAD. He said "Hi Eddie. These guys
are like almost, like, I would call them brothers but that would mean we
wouldn't be allowed to marry them". It was a classic Thayil quote. In
fact I might, MIGHT, have it on videotape here somewhere. I'll try to
dig it up, digitize it and post it to the 'page. Anyway thanks for
listening to my trip down memory lane. See ya...

Hello,
I purchased a video magazine at a used CD, video place in my

Christ Pose video, and some interview clips. I can see why the video was
not shown by MTV, but it's brilliant nonetheless. . .
