Well, regarding the "death" of Jeff Ament, I seriously doubt it as they are
going to be here, in San Jose,CA., next Saturday. And no, the show hasn't
been cancelled. The reason why they'll be here is for a makeup show. Eddie
had to leave after only 7 songs last time due to the stomach flu. That's
okay, everyone got to see Neil Young instead!! Boy, you can imagine how
"thrilled" the crowd was! If they have a new bass player, we'll let you
know....

                                                                     Favorite
non-album SG song? Probably the acoustic version of "Like Suicide" although
"Kyle Petty, Son of Richard" hasn't left the cd player now for the past week.
I just love that line "don't you ever take no fuckin' shit!!" Definitely an
aggressive outlet.

Since this has gotten next to no publicity at all, I doubt, big time, that the
PJ bassist is dead. I mean, think about it: the bassist for PEARL JAM, one of
the biggest-name bands in existence, dies, and no news stories on it??

When your head aches, when you're tired as hell and the only thing you want is to die; go home, put on Mind Riot (loud as hell) and you'll see that the song really washes away all the pain. Sad songs really makes me feel better, it may sound veird, but they do. Mind Riot is a very good example of song that makes me feel good. Together with Searching with my good eye closed, Mind Riot is my

I always find that sad, dull/lonely songs always end up making me feel
even worse. The songs that usually make me feel better (although,
I've never really been depressed--I have had nothing to really be
depressed about. So maybe I shouldn't talk..) are the ones that are
filled with intense anger.

I would be *very* suprised if nobody on Soundgarden did the occational
(well, maybe a little more than occational) joint now and then. But,
I'm pretty sure that Chris isn't doing anything more serious than that
(like crack, cocaine... etc..) See, Chris... Chris is Intelligent.
You can tell, just in the way he presents himself, and his songs.
He's not gonna go blow his life away on drugs. Now, Kim, Ben, and
Matt.. I don't know.. Well, lets just say I wouldn't be excidently
suprised if atleast one of them has done some heavier drugs since...
Lets face it... They're a grunge band (well, I don't know what else
you could call them, besides the best.. :)

Yes, fell on black days. I got into this habbit of saying Feeling on
Blackdays, because that's what I originally thought the title was. I
knew it was fell on black days.. bad crow.. <slap> <slap> <slap>.

sorry seth, but I'm afraid I have to disagree a little with
you. and just like the last war with stacey, it looks like I have to
make my intentions clear again.

if someone puts me down, or my friend down, as liesl did with her
first worthless post, then I will reply to the list. some of these
people have to learn some respect for their fellow list members. I
wonder if liesl ever read my original posting? I simply asked if these
bio things really were necessary, especially on the list. sara has
written to me, and I agree that we should make a truce on the issue.

but liesl jumped right in with no forethought whatsoever, and
then began to dig a deeper and deeper hole for herself. did she have to
abuse my first post? no. did she have to do it on the list? hell no.

then this guy andrew decided to take a shot. well, calling me
and little joe losers might make him feel better about himself, but I'm
afraid that shows no respect whatsoever towards either me, littlejoe or
the list. what's your story andrew? do you even understand what we were
originally talking about at all? or are you just here to poke your head
up now and again to spout your ignorance?

all I ask is that people don't jump in mindlessly. read the
postings. and don't throw down on me on the list. because I won't stand
for it. so think before you post. it will only take you a second, and
will make life a lot easier.

if I'm not mistaken, the real video is the one with the old guy
walking inside the wheel, matt's kit is up on a pedestal, and the whole
thing looks very orange and fire-like. the other one I taped is done in
a yellow sort of wash, with all these chains and plastic sheets hanging
from the ceiling. definitely different to the other version. but now
that I think about it, there is probably a third version that none of us
have seen, that didn't make the release date.

a question : Don't you think that Chris Cornell could do a better job
in the White House than President Flipper ? Think about it : he's
realistic , watching world affairs would'nt be boring , after a
signing of the peace accords he would bring out the cabinet ( AKA the
rest Of SG ) and they would rock . With him at the helm , we would be
guaranteed a clean presidency . But wait , who would be the VP ?

The second half of this post is going to sound so callous... especially
after the first part, but-- because I'm trying to to put a lot of credit
into that out of nowhere comment-- I'll start with the b-sides:

I (a huge pre-BHS fan) have only been lucky enough to hear one distinct
b-side... and that would be the acoustic Like Suicide. I liked it very much.

About Jeff Ament... I really hope that someone just pulled that fact out
of their ass, because if they didn't, the world just lost a really cool
artist. Plus, I would think that MTV would have said something about
it. I mean, if they could interrupt Rock and Jock basketball. And, if
Jack Irons broke his arm... hey, bones heal. Maybe they'll ask Dave to
sub for him.

Ok, people, i just got back from listening to one of the greatest
American punk legends of our time give a spoken word show (what, you
thought i meant Silly Jo Armstrong?) and he told us (the audience) about
his experience at the grammys last year. He said that after Rollins'
band finished their performance they had a limo for the rest of the night
provided by the grammy people. So he went to some of the "after the
grammys" parties. First he went to Warner Bros., but he got bored w/
that so then he went to A&M's party. He said that's where everyone was
really messed up at. He then proceeded to say that "the bass player for
Soundgarden was so fucked up that he couldn't work his lower jaw"
I don't know what he thought Ben was on, but obviously Ben was having
his share of fun, i guess. I didn't know how to react to that when this
guy who had been making a ton of good points just used a musician from my
favorite band in the whole world as a bad example. Any one want to tell
me how i feel? (now there's a lack of identity for ya.) -j

Japanese animated movies and stuff... did you ever watch cartoons like
Starblazers or Robotech? Both were Manga adapted for television in
America and other english speaking countries. Manga isn't quite the same
as cartoons, because it is directed at a wider audience (sometimes
specifically teenage-adult audiences) and contains themes relevant to
those age groups. The animation and cel quality in manga is generally
unsurpassed by any other type of animated films.. that's one of the main
reasons I like it.

Hope that is enough information.. :)
