as an added note, i would like to say that any comments about girls
being emotional were not intended to offend anyone. i do not mean to say
that girls are more emotional than guys, just that they show it in
different ways: girls cry about things (again, this is generally
speaking) while guys get in fights. please don't take any of my comments
personally. i;m just going to go now...

Directions for joining "Territorial Pissings", the Nirvana list, can be
found at http://www.dsu.edu/projects/nirvana/misc/mailing.html.

There is also the Internet Guide to Popular Music (which I found at
gopher://liberty.uc.wlu.edu/00/library/recreational/popmusic.um). This has
listings for mailing lists pertaining to every band you can think of. It's
two years old, so I don't know if many of these lists still exist. And
needless to say, SOMMS is not there. They mention a mailing list called
"Mind Riot" for discussion related to Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Temple of the
Dog, and Mother Love Bone. Does anyone know if this still exists? If it
does, I think we should go kick their ass.

It means, saying that Primus sucks is a COMPLIMENT to the band, for those
who are ignorant in the ways of Los Bastardos: Les, Ler, and Herb.

I also think that sad and lonely songs make me feel better than any
others. I suppose it's because it's nice to know that someone else knows
how you feel. Or maybe because you don't feel as isolated and alone with
a sad song playing. Happy songs make you feel as if the person singing
is in another dimension and they never have bad days. I get depressed
alot. I used to get depressed a lot more and I'm surprized I didn't mess
my Soundgarden cds up by listening to them so much. I really love the
Superunknown cd. Most of the songs just seem to appeal to me. They seem
to fit my moods or something. I really love "The day I Tried To Live"
and "Fourth of July" and "Mailman." They're all really good, though. I
can't even say that those three are my favorites. I just wanted to let
you know that i feel the same way.

exactly what it says...

for years, primus fans have used the phrase "primus sucks!" to express
ADMIRATION for the band. hell, the band even had "primus sucks" on
their concert backdrops a few years ago.

so it's a little hard to tell what people actually think of primus,
because as mentioned above, "suck" is to "primus" as "rule" is to
"soundgarden."

oh yes...primus does indeed suck (in a good sense) and sg rules. (in
an equally good sense)

at gun point...
1) definately "The day I tried to Live". There has not been a day in the
past 1 and a half years that I have not listened to it atleast once. It
has alot of emotional meaning for me, aswell as being one of the best songs to
ever exist. Incedently, does anybody know the story behind this? Somebody
told me that it was about Chris's struggle to get stop using crack. Is
there any truth to that?

2> I can't believe that nobody has mentioned "Somewhere"!!!! (well, maybe
they have, and I just haven't noticed). It is a powerful song. Even if
Chris only sings for 2 minutes..

3> definately a toss-up... But, at gun point, it would have to be
"Feeling on Blackdays". It's just way I feel after a bad day. Usually,
if I have a bad day, I can come home and crank up the stereo.

Heya SG FOLKS!!! (No, I'm still not back on yet . . . )

But . .. I just got the Singles soundtrack, and I really like Seasons (rare
acoustic song? Most are on distortion, except the Black Hole Sun intro . . .
) . . . do any of my fellow guitarists know anything about it? (tuning,
chords, actual TAB . . . ANYTHING!) If so, don't just send it to the Page,
'cause I can't afford to go there . . . too many pictures to load . . .

Birth Ritual is also cool . . . I'll take info on that also, but I'm focusing
on SEASONS . . .

REMEMBER, E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY!!! I AM NOT ON THE LIST!!! (I will be someday .

I heard that Chris said it was about being an introverted person trying
to socialize. He said that he is usually shy and this is his fight to
try to be more outgoing. He said the chorus is supposed to be pretty
happy, actually (well happy's not actually the word, but my brain is
asleep.) it is supposed to mean, well i tried today and failed but i will
tyr again tomorrow cuz it could happen next time. -j

Are the Eraserheads still popular there? Coz when I was a there last
summer they were the closest thing to an alternative band that was very
popular. Of course they were a Filipino band.
