Sugar, Vision Thing by The Sisters Of Mercy, Take The Power Back by
Rage Against The Machine, The Ace Of Spades by Motorhead,
Disconnected by The Rollins Band, Holy Wars by Megadeth or Any heavy
song by The Pixies eg Debaser or some such.

Just my thoughts on what might make an interesting cover by the lads.

Well, last week I posted that a local record store had the SOMMS disc.
Well, before I had the chance to post the number, some industrious
person from New Jersey scrounged up the number and bought it
already(he also bought the copy of Foreshocks I had my eye on).
Fortunately he didn't buy the copy of Loudest Love that I got for ten
bucks!!!

when i was informing everyone about that cool hendrix cover that chris and matt
did, i made a huge typo. they recorded hey baby(land of the new rising sun) not
hey joe, etc. hey joe is another hendrix song that somebody else did on the
stone free album. anyway, apologies to all. it's still awesome though.

Here's my answer to the question (re: Jeff Buckley and friends):
It's a difficult prospect...that none (or very few) of us diehard fans
KNOW who the SG members are. They could be cool or they very well could
be like people we wouldn't want to associate with. But in reality, the
crux of the issue is that none of that matters. All that's important is
that their music is the best out there, that it's (in my humble opinion)
perfection. Makes for a (albeit dull) social commentary: perhaps one
should appreciate what one does or who one is, not be overly concerned with
the facade. Anyhow, living next to SG would be a dream...I'd be feeling
outshined for sure!!
Is "Room a Thousand Years Wide" not just a beautiful song??

For everyone who is speculating about CC & SS...we just got 2
back-issues of Rolling Stone (June 16, 1994 from PJ STARR & June 12, 1995
from RS back-issue dept.). The June 16, 1994 issue has SG on the cover and a
lengthy article on the band, INCLUDING A PHOTO WITH SUSAN. The June 12, 1995
issue is AN INTERVIEW WITH CHRIS, and tells all about his childhood, school
days (or lack of), drug use, etc. etc. We also got some other cool things
from PJ STARR...8x10 b&w A&M promo glossy of the band from SS Management
(well at least WE think they're really cool, cos we've never had access to
any of these things before!)...and also videos of SG "book shopping in NYC",
"Day On the Green" interview, "SG at RIP Magazine Anniversary Party", "SG
opening for Guns and Roses"...and a lot of other interviews & clips we had
never seen before. If you're interested, PJ has a complete list. (We don't
work for her or have any connection with the business...we're just really
pleased to find someone who is reliable & has new AND RARE
MERCHANDISE...she has a list of CD's too, but we haven't gotten into
collecting those yet). RFILIPEK (BDM) THANKS FOR THE ADDRESSES OF THE SG
HOMEPAGE!!! BALDRICK2

And one more tip. Read your message over again before you hit send. That
might be good for cases of people who type faster than they can think. You
wouldnt want to start a brawl just because you forgot to say "It wasnt
the band that was bad, it was just the sound system and the venue that
were pitiful. I really love SG, really I do."!

Besides, getting your first flame is like a rite of passage. It means
someone has heard you. (That is all it means, right? Isnt it?)

Subject: Tour stuff and new album

I've been reading the list and heard stuff about SG's new live album coming out, but does anyone have info on another studio album? I heard that one may be coming out early in '96, but Chris and Kim didn't say much about that in their MTV interview at the Reading Festival. Of course I don't expect them to reveal all their plans, but.... Also, I'm dying to see SG live again, since I've gained a much greater appreciation for their music since I saw them last. That was the Blind Melon/ Neil Young tour. I was not impressed with the live performance then, but I'm convinced that they would be incredible now. Anyone know if there are plans for a US tour in the near future?

1994 summer tour, what was the deal with the mini-movie before the show. you

I spoke with Soundgarden's management company this morning. They told me
the band is getting reading to go into the studio and will not be back on
tour until next year (spring/summer). Don't be disappointed -- they need
time to work on new material. :-)

is it the same little guy in the clip to my wave? I remember a
kid riding a bike around in that video. it might have something to do
with ben and his brother, and their night surf composition. I could
never understand what that stuff was in the clip for, but now I'm
starting to get an idea.

	anyone with any other musings?
