Sorry, but you obviously haven't really listened to Live's drummer if you
think he sucks. He's extremely talented... maybe not a Cameron, but with
great potential. Take it easy on trashing people just to make who you
like look good. Cameron doesn't need your help.

Thanks for the info on Smokestack, Steve. Now, of course, i have to
listen to the original version. I was hoping that it wasn't Skynyrd.

Kim is working with Sean Kinney and Krist Novoselic(Did i spell that

doing the vocals on this song. Strange, huh? Well, it shows our boy has
diversity. -j

Yep. Kinney rocks pretty hard.

I think my man was going for some examples. If we listed every great rock
drummer, we'd be writin' the post for about a month. Herb and Stuart
definitely kick ass, though.

I think Matt and Kim are as clean as a whistle. As for Ben, well, we've
got to attribute his "strangeness" to something. I think it's probably
from some spinal disease he has acquired from dragging his bass across
the stage so many times. What do you think?

The original "Smokestack Lightning" was NOT done by Lynrd Skynrd. It was
done (in the 1940s, I believe) by a famous blues musician named Chester
Burnett, Some of you might know him as "Howlin' Wolf." Led Zeppelin used
to play "Smokestack" as an intro to "The Lemon Song" when they played it
in concert.

Attention fellow members of the Soundgarden mailing list:

How's bout ignoring such rude and downright stupid comments of people who
write in the list just to fuck us off...I think they find it downright
amusing to infuriate intelligent music listeners such as ourselves...and
therefore getting what they really want...OUR ATTENTION...

besides we know who's really shit and whose not, right?

Well geez, guys, it was a joke, alright?!! Yeah I KNOW sg has unique
musical talents & that we wouldn't be able to find another band like them.
I just got a laugh out of imagining Clown humming away to a Pearl Jam tune
day after day, that's all...............

So take a deep breath & chill out! :-)
