I'll second that notion... I remember all my friends thought "Here's
Johnny" was a piece of decaying, lice infested dog shit when it came out,
but some dickhead DJ's began playing it in the clubs and suddenly,
everyone liked it! Those poor people, they're all victims of fashion...

Yeah, I hate that... last time I went to Fridays, I wore a pair of good
leather shoes, but there was glass all over the friggin' dance floor!
This time, I decided to wear my Nike cross-trainers and they nearly wouldn't
let me in.. they didn't at Hogies (then again, why would I want to go
into Hogies anyway?)

I love that damn song! I saw the film clip, along with Loud Love on Rage
(Aussie late-night, early morning music show...) the other night. Silverchair
were guest programmers and they did a great job. They played lotsa
grunge-metal stuff (as well as their own music). I saw the U.S. version
of Tomorrow... no wonder many Americans think Silverchair is just ripping
off other grunge/metal bands the original Australian release version has a
much more distinctive sound to it, and the film clip is better too...

Also saw another film clip for Milquetoast, by Helmet with lots of scenes
from "The Crow". If you've seen the movie, you can hear it playing in the
background in one of the bar scenes, it's got lots of bass, really good song.

See ya all later...

I would have to agree with that, JCP is a brilliant song, with
unbelievable precussion! I own the Black Hole Sun single, it has a live
version of JCP on it, and it kicks ass (except for the 40 seconds of
screaming guitar feedback at the end, but I can put up with that...)

And how much did this treasure cost you? I've heard that used copies
sell for up to $90. (I was lucky and bought mine when it came out in
1992 for $11.88)

First of all, the Lollapalooza CD sucks. The sound is just horrible.
Its only saving grace is the cove4r of Cop Killer. Second, the song
playing when the car windows smash is not Citizen Dick. It is Tad.

Also, Ben has thrown a tantrum during every Soundgarden show that I have

Someone get this poor guy some valium! Then again, when you're as good as

Hi,
Have been on the mailing list for a couple of months now. Really enjoy it.
Lately there have been a lot of posts about teenie bopper music, going
back to school and not being able to go to concerts because of being
underage. A new member recently asked about what type of people are on
this list. I have been a Soundgarden fan since 1988. I have seen them in
concert many times (they are always great) and I have most of their
releases. I also got an autographed poster from the Save the Earth Auction
a couple of months ago. It is from Lollapalooza 1992 and signed by all the
members of the band (set me back $250 but it was worth it). Sorry i'm
rambling. Back to my point. Am I the only fan out here that is over 30?
Pls say it isn't so.

It's not so! But I have a feeling we are few and far between. So far I have
found it's doesn't matter - most of the true SG fans over look the age thing.
One of the reason's I jointed this mailing list, is that there are not allot of
older SG fans out there to talk music to. Or maybe they are afraid to admit to
it. Since Kim and PJ made their I hate baby boomer cuts, the older music lover
were forced underground.

Most of the people my age, and the people I work with, think I have a screw
loose because I like a rock group that is popular with generation X (God I hate
labels).

I will not apologize for my love of rock music or SG. There isn't a problem
with liking Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, or Arrowsmith when it came to a
person age. WHY should SG be any different? Music is timeless and ageless -
just because your not 16 anymore doesn't mean your taste in music automatically
changes.

I got my first rock n' roll album at age 12 and God willing I'll get my last
when I'm 112!!!!!!!!!!

Jamie

BTW: No matter how bad ass Ben is - I still think he is the best - and such a
young bad ass...

I don't know if it's true or not, but lets not forget that Kim, Matt and
Chris are all over 30 (Kim being the oldest at 35) and before the Rock and
Roll thing they held jobs to pay the rent and buy food and clothing, and
were working hard trying to survive just like everyone else. So I'm sure
they're more than 4 soundgarden fans over 30.

ANYWAY, I just wanted to say thanks to all the people who wrote to me about
