has one :-) )but on this bootleg is a song called "Get on the snake". Chris
introduces this song as follows : "Here is a song from a movie wich nobody
saw". Does anyone know what movie, and is there a soundtrack? Erwin,
Belgium. P.S. Saw them perform at Pukkelpop in Hasselt, Belgium. They were
great, even played "Waiting for the sun" (Doors y'know)

The movie was "lost angels". There is a soundtrack. good luck finding it.

The bootleg you have is called: Fortissimo or if you have vinyl it's a
bootleg copy of Louder than live.

Subject: Matt Cameron.

I totally agree with Jamie and the rest of you who find Cameron's
drumming FANTASTIC! I've been playing drums for 11 years and he is like
God to me. He was the featured artist in Modern Drummer magazine about
six months ago. The article included transcriptions of a bunch of his
drum tracks. It was here that I learned to play stuff like "Jesus Christ
Pose" and "Wooden Jesus". Actually, in the article Matt admitted that the
drum part to "Wooden Jesus" is a rip off of Steve Gadd, one of his
drumming idols. Gadd played drums with Chick Corea. Matt also said
that Mitch Mitchell (Hendrix's drummer) was another huge influence
on him. Anyways, one of my goals in life is to meet him (like any of you
care). Since John Bonham is dead, Matt has to be the best rock drummer
alive! Just thought I'd say that.

Subject: FAQ?

Hey list!

I do believe that it is time to start up a Soundgarden FAQ. If anyone has
any suggestions to a proper format to document the Q's....please email me.
Your contributions will be greatly appreciated.

So...send me your SG questions and answers (I want documentation!)

I'll try to compile a beta version by tommorrow night. I'll post it to the
list (if it isnt too big)...or to alt.music.soundgarden

If anybody remembers my first version's of the discography....You know that
this beta version will be ugly.

Subject: MTV Video Musick awards

You know, I have to say: for some unknown reason, I spent my thursday
night watching the pre-show, the show and then the post-showing of the
MTV music awards. I loved Live, yes. I was once again reassured that
Courtney Love has attitude, not telent, yes. I had fun criticizing the
outfits, yes. But, at the end, I felt like I'd just spent six hours
stuffing Wonder Bread down my throat. Gaacckk. Shit's B-O-R-I-N-G as hell.

Also: Lost Angels was a really cool movie. Haven't seen it for a couple
of year (long since before Ione married Ad-rock), but i remember that
Adam did a really impressive job. Goes to show ya: Beeeeeastie's gotta
lil' sump'in for everybody!

Also: about the "ben incident" (all rightey, call the 5-0, we have
ourselves a little ben incident over here... better call in the feds)...
evern though I've only been to one SG concert, I've seen how some fans
(tempramental frat boys beer-bonging away their parent's $$$) can
sometimes act... and I don't blame any of SG members for throwing an
occassional tantrum.! :-)

i have a good friend who is god on drums. he was playing it just
yesterday and i CREAMED MY PANTS. it was pretty messy. that drum line
kicks ass, as does JCP. when he plays that it is just one of the
grooviest things. my boy kicks ass, but can't touch matt quite yet.

just a little tangent

It all depends where you go. But I must admit the majority of places these
days play that teenie-bopper, latino-woman, black man, hip-hop, dance,
techno crap....and boy does it suck. You just wonder why I never go to those
clubs and avoid them big time.

It is a worry, but we know we are alright....its the rest of the world we
have to pity cause they get sucked into listening to that crap instead of
good stuff.

It seems to me you went to bad places....if you know where to go you can
advoid the crap. Yes crash and burn is great....Babble On is another, great
music everynight
....Her Maj, (well maybe only cover bands but at least it is good music) Umm
that hotle on Edward St, that I can't remember the name of, 3 levels (thinks
its lv2 that has the good stuff :) Heaps of good places still left just have
to find em :)

BTW the think I love about these places over crapno clubs is you can where
what you like -- t-shirts, shorts, etc etc unlike other places where you
need the ye old blue shirt, blue jeans, footy boy hair cut, nice black
loffers and you are set...any different and bouncers won't let you in. At
least in all the madness there is some places you can escape too.

heres to the end of crapno dance music!
