I heard that the song was actually supposed to be a joke, but it turned out kinda half-decent. Pearl Jam has two songs on there (I don't give a fuck if the people out there hate them, they sound good to me, and they're up there with Soundgarden IMHO) Mudhoney has one on there, as well as Alice and Chains, Mother Love Bone, Smashing Pumpkins ("Drown" is pretty cool, again IMHO), and Soundgarden has the best song on there, "Birth Ritual". Chris really extends those vocals for this song, and it's got a great pace. Each and every song and band featured are worth further examination (OK, maybe except for Heart... :-)). You can use the track information as a shoppinglist next time you go to a record store, you won't be sorry, guaranteed. Soundgarden are featured with Birth Ritual (great song, although some might find it too heavy) and Chris' solo acoustic song, Seasons (incredible song). Other bands featured are Pearl Jam (State Of Love And Trust and Breath, some of their best songs ever!), Paul Westerberg (formerly from The Replacements, a cult punk band), Mother Love Bone, Mudhoney, Jimi Hendrix, Screaming Trees, Smashing Pumpkins and Lovemongers (actually those sisters from Heart).
