Maybe he just switches guitars with different tunings during the show.
I've seen other bands do that.

I would say that he switches guitars during the show...most bands do this.
Look at Sonic Youth..on stage at any show there is at least 50 (minimum)
guitars each with a special tuning (tho SY do like to have weird tunings.
For SG some guitars work for some songs switch to use for another song.

Favorite Album-
I've debated this for the past couple of months, because
each album is such a departure from their last, I
think all of the albums are a favorite on a different
level. For instance-
Favorite technically and musically-SUPERUNKNOWN-SOme
may say it was their sellout album, but just read the lyrics.
And it was kinda cool seeing dim-witted cheerleaders and co-workers
sing "Black Hole Sun".

Favorite Loud one-"Louder than Love"-Kinda like lava personified.
Slow, brutal and loud.

Favorite Experimental-Badmotorfinger-"Mind Riot" has to be one
of my top 3 fave Soundgarden tunes. "Searching with my good
eye closed" had a great beginning as well.

Each a favorite in their own right.
I heard that their new album will have the lyrics of "Superunknown"
and the music style of "Badmotorfinger"-any confirmations
also, I heard of a potential opening date at Red Rocks Stadium in
Denver around April, that may be too good to be true though

Later

Hi--I figured i might as well give it a shot and ask---Does anyone have any
SG videos to let me borrow to watch? I would very much appreciate it and
would send It back definately when i was done(or when you need it.) I SWEAR
I would send it back unharmed, because i do understand how important it would
be to you. Well, I was just hoping someone would let me, because I have no
videos and just want to see one. I don't know what I could give for
collateral, but If someone wants to help me, either you can respond here, or
E-mail me at WshuWerHre@aol.com. PLEASE--and Thanks.

I'm coming into this line a little late (having just come off a business trip),
but would like to add my feelings on:

Naked in the cold sun statement:
Every hear the saying "Cold light of reality"! The light (i.e., sun is the
light) is exposing your true nature to the world - you can't hide. Now stripe
yourself of all other protection (clothing, emotion, etc.), and you have one
cold experience. Mostly Chris writes with a metaphoric style, hidden and
double meaning run rapid in each of his songs. He has a great talent for this
type of writing, another writer/singer who is truly gifted in this style is
Seal.

I would respond to the naked in the cold sun with - "Wrapped in the
warmth of the moonlight"

Chris voice:
Chris doesn't sound like Robert Plant (other then the screaming that most hard
rocker do). He doesn't hid behind a scream, he usually uses it to add texture
and style to his singing. The only problem is - he needs to use his diaphragm
more, he is going to hurt his throat.

BTW: Any comments on the new Candlebox and Red Hot Chile Peppers songs?

Jamie

While rummaging through some old promo cds, I came across an Alice
Cooper single, "Unholy War", a song written by Chris Cornell. The song
also features Chris on backing vocals, and possibly on guitar as well. I
don't really care for the song, although in places it does have a cool SG
groove to it. It's the same version that appears on Cooper's 1994 album,
The Last Temptation of Alice. I suppose this would be interesting to
someone who is superhardcore into collecting anything and everything
connected to SG or Chris Cornell. If anyone would be willing to trade a
tape of SG b-sides, demos from Badmotorfinger and/or Superunknown or
ANYTHING from Hater for the single, e-mail me. The only SG b-sides I
already have are Touch Me, Stray Cat Blues, I Don't Care About You, and
Can You See Me.

yeah, littlejoe and I got it the other week.

	the tracks are:	blind dogs
fell on black days (demo version)
			kyle petty, son of richard
			and no attention

chris sings well on each song. the guitars are crunchy and
cool. matt's druming, as always, is excellent. kyle petty sounds cool
without the voice effects. you can hear the emphasis on certain words.
no attention is a blinder, which they should have put on a major release.
