In a message dated 95-08-08 01:42:05 EDT, you write:

>First Team All-World Ultimate Band.              2nd Team
>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~          ~~~~~~~~~~~
>Vocals- Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) - Kurt Cobain
>Lead Guitar- Jimi Hendrix - Jerry Cantrell
>Bass- Les Claypool (Primus) - Krist Novoselic
>Drums- Will Calhoun (Living Colour) - Lars Ulrich

If we had to make an ultimate band list with the guys TODAY, I think that
there are a lot of places missing...so here they are!!!

Ultimate Band List
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vocals- Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) Chris would also play Rhythm Guitar.
Rhythm Guitar- Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam)
Rhythm Guitar#2- Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)
Lead Guitar- Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains) Jerry'd also sing backup
Lead Guitar#2- Brian May (Mudhoney) OR Kim Thayil!!!
Bass- Les Claypool (Primus) Les would also sing backup
Drums- Lars Ulrich (Metallica)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, it's intense, but it would be incredible. Think about all the
instrument layering! Chris'd be singing, no guitar. Stone and Billy would be
sending out the same riffs on different scales, Jerry would be doing a solo
while Brian was doing some backround stuff, Les would be doing backup and
slapping bass, and Lars would be headbanging behind the drumset. That would
rule, IMHO!!!

Hi all - I am keyboard player (only got a KORG M1 currently with a 200W amp
a friend made me) and whilst I don't play much Soundgarden (except Blackhole
Sun and I've worked out all the chord progressions to their songs, even some
of the guitar riffs) I play a lot of Faith No More's stuff, REM, Aerosmith,
classical music (Beethoven, Greig, Bach) and I even dabble in composing.

I've played drums (wouldn't call myself a drummer mind you) in a band I was
part of in high school.

As for guitar, watch me take ages between chord changes and strain to get my
fingers on board for bar chords - I can handle power chords though!

Just my three cents worth!

Superunknown just over Badmotorfinger (Sabbath lives), with Louder then Love
clear third(and UltramegaOK distant fourth).
