Yes, I like REM, DinosaurJr, Nirvana, and PearlJam. But I also like that BritishBeat sound of Portishead, Massive Attack, Tricky, and recent PJ Harvey. But I dont forget the masters, either, and spend a great deal of time listening to those original grungmen like Hendrix, NeilYoung, Clapton, and Allmans. Finally, (though not really so grungy) I am a follower of the masters of the psychadelic jam: The Grateful Dead. In fact, when I posted my tapelist a few days ago, I had to omit the 400hrs of GDead soundboards that I have amassed over the past decade. And so, one's roots of musical interest may not necessarily be so predictable.
