I didn't have time to respond to the "What bands do you like?" post the
first time around.

Yes, I like REM, DinosaurJr, Nirvana, and PearlJam. But I also like that
BritishBeat sound of Portishead, Massive Attack, Tricky, and recent PJ
Harvey.

But I dont forget the masters, either, and spend a great deal of time
listening to those original grungmen like Hendrix, NeilYoung, Clapton, and
Allmans.

Finally, (though not really so grungy) I am a follower of the masters of
the psychadelic jam: The Grateful Dead. In fact, when I posted my tapelist
a few days ago, I had to omit the 400hrs of GDead soundboards that I have
amassed over the past decade.

And so, one's roots of musical interest may not necessarily be so
predictable. I'm sure that I'm not the only gardener who listens to much
more than the typical Alternative/College radio fare.

there is no commercially available video of Soundgarden's MTV vids. However,
I have every
one all on one tape, I made it for myself. If you would like a copy of this,
let me know what you
have to trade... it can be done. Also, last night SG was "in concert" on TV
at 2:35 am. I haven't watched it yet, but I'll let you know if it is any
good. I have 2 VCRs so I copy tapes.

Daniel and Everyone interested,
Soundgarden is playing at the reading festival in england. Along with
Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole and Bjork. Subtract green day and you
have got a damn good concert. Either way it should be pretty awesome. Wish
I lived in england right now.
