The board is concerned with continuing education and training for practicing engineers and the board provides professional development activities that
- enable engineers to stay abreast of rapidly
changing technology;
- improve the job skills and performance of engineers;
and
- enhance the professional growth of engineers.
The board’s activities include:
- Offering more than 100 short courses annually to more than 3,600 engineers
in 40 different cities and over 10 countries.
- Providing about 60 in-company training programs annually for industry;
- Developing and marketing educational products
in different delivery formats;
- Offering career development programs for prospective
and practicing engineers
- Conducting emerging technology seminars and
workshops; and
- Renting ASME’s database for professional development purposes.
