Problem Solving and Decision Making


Abstract

The Problem Solving and Decision Making course teaches nine problem solving techniques. Most of them look deceptively simple. However, most will need some knowledge of statistics. These techniques can be used at different stages of a project to help you solve problems and manage your projects.

Techniques which will be taught include the checklist, flowcharts, Pareto charts, cause and effect or fishbone diagram, scatter graph, histogram, run chart, control chart, and brainstorming. Also a creativity checklist is presented.

Any manager or engineer who has problems to solve or projects to manage should attend this course.
