This course focuses on the engineering manager’s job, the structure of the organization and employee performance through management by objectives and goal setting. Goal setting has been proven to help organizations to succeed in accomplishing their missions. The course discusses goal setting with tips and techniques to help facilitate your own and your staff’s goal setting plans. Topics include organizational achievement through management, follow through, how to measure performance and review results, management by objectives, the problem engineer, leveling and feedback, and factors affecting management systems.
